Great to hear from you. (was starting to wonder) Sounds good. I will convert the esp into an esm soon then I will start recruiting people to make the locations we will need. I just need to tweak the worldspace a bit, make it more like the Vegas area. Once its in esm form many people can work on it at once. I will get the first bit of the quest to get to Vegas finished up.

Sounds like you have been working well and doing a very good mod.

I wish very much to play it when you bring it out.

Maybe I missed some facets of how you are making this mod as a team so I hope you don't mind if I ask some maybe foolish questions. I have been a writer for a long time. I planned and wrote a SF novel that was not published but am now in the planning stage of writing a better one. I have wrote a lot of other stuff. I have worked with multimedia and done movie studies, including animated movies like Disney movies and how they were put together through various stages. Did a BA and a post-grad at uni, what ever that means. Studied history such as the Cold War period (which I lived through part of) and Communist China. Am now getting into art and in near future, into multimedia based art perhaps even using computer game like concepts. Have done enough programming to know I will never be a programmer. I admire modders!

I expect yes/no answers will be fine or none at all if you are too busy.

Did you write a story synopsis, a short version of the whole story?

Did you break the story down into stages, for example stage 1 might be how you start the mod in the DC Wastelands, and write a piece about each?

Did you do some kind of quest tree that outlines stages of main quest and side quests, helping to deal with issues like possible clashes between quests?

Have you done a listing of NPCs, both major and secondary?

Have you stated relationships between NPCs, what factions they belong to and so on?

Have you listed factions and their relationships with other factions

example the B-of-S faction and its relationship to a Mafia group?

the B-of-S faction and other B-of-S factions?

Have you done a rough map of the game territories that indicates such as where factions are centered or most prominent? What areas are open go? What areas are controlled and by who?

What areas are too heavily radded to go to, if any? What areas have heavy threats such as feral ghouls and other monsters?

Have you mapped/listed locations classed either as prewar, post-apocalyptic or other?

A good listing might be of unique Vegas sites?

Have you linked locations to quests?

Have you listed game items that may have some important use in the mod or are new, being created with the mod?

Have you plans to make a animation recording of the mod, a preview? It would be good to see!

Were the missiles atomic powered as exotic alt history weapons or were they more like the Saturn V rockets that sent Apollo 11 to the moon and made up many ICBMs of this world's USA?

Did the rockets have MIRVs, each with how many warheads? Were some of the warheads dummies (radar decoys)? (I lived through the MAD period of the Cold War and learned something of nuclear weaponry etc. but have forgotten much of it.)

Silos have control bunkers fairly close by (or they did), so are these part of the Silos community?

These would have had missile operators, techs, guards, others especially if the silo concept was new and bugs were still being worked out. That might mean scientific, engineering and other experts were stationed at the silos site when the bombs fell. If the bunker was not big enough perhaps there was a hidden temporary surface base to house people, special equipment, etc. What happened to all the service people?

What about robots? Did they have special robots (altered Fallout 3 robots) to do special work?

If the missiles had just been moved into the silos, what about a huge atomic powered truck to carry at least parts of them and a big shed for the assembling of them. What of a big crane that would have lifted them into the silos? Early type ICBMs were much bigger; they are getting now smaller and more accurate. How much of this could have survived to be used by the silo settlers?

Were there Chinese Commies spying on the base? Could there be a normal looking house not too far from the silos with some skeletons, a ham radio that is actually more, some hidden Chinese assault rifles, a copy of the Little Red Book and other such things?

I hope these questions have been of interest.

Good questions.

yes

yes

Right now we only have part of the main quest we will probably do that once we get it to the Vegas stage.

yes

yes

still a little rough still working out some details

I have the Map I plan to colour code it and refine it more

We are not that far yet since I am still working on the Vegas worldspace

We only have a couple quests right now (Death Ring, Main, Area51)

I pretty much make whatever I need, so far the list of new object is quite long.

I plan to make a vid soon.

Pretty much like Saturn Vs There is only the bottom part of one left since the rest have been recycled into other stuff.

Most of the silos population are somehow related to the original people who worked there the control buildings where mostly underground (and are still there but tough to get to) There is plenty of room in the silos (they are HUGE) the underground complex is extensive (I plan to make it connect most of the military bases in the DC area)

I will make robots. I even have an idea for a completely new one.

The silos facility is almost completely underground the parts where brought in through the service tunnels using rail cars, they where then assembled in the silo itself (that is why they are so big)

I may work the Chinese in, perhaps if you go in the back way through the tunnels there will be some dead Chinese hiding in there.

If you want a good lock at the silos so far I uploaded an alpha version for interested people to look at, just put silos alpha into the search thing.

Hope this helped.

Thanks for the positive and informative response.

As an experienced (fiction and some other stuff) writer I offer any help I might give with dialogue, characterization or any other facets of writing. Am willing to put work into this. All you need to do is ask.

By the way I am a 47 year old Australian from Perth WA.

Thanks again for the prompt, informative response.
