I don't think they are on the Bethsoft forums. If you go to our old thread they posted there saying that they already claimed the name (which they did). I wish I knew where they are based out of but until they let me know or the mod is released I couldn't tell you.

welll if u read the thread then if its a claimingthing they couldnt make it lol since I claimed even be4 rofl ... I think a claiming thing is silly everyone can make the mod he wants and if you want to make a new york mod I dont see why you shouldn't ... but I think the best is to make all together the mod if its focused on same area... I for myself I wanted to see a flooded new york filled of stuff and a manhattan island filled with feral ghouls like a 28 days after idea lol ....

@PrideAssassin: take into acount that its an alternate reality and there may be no "air-burst"; they may just use direct contact delivery systems: case-in-pont: ive found a crater at the southern end of the map; you cant reach it but you can see it fairly well, if you look on the world map at the southern edge you will se a small circle somewhere near the middle. Using the console command for disabling colision you can levitate up very high and turn to se it pretty well. . .have a nice day

Meh, even the WWII gravity dumb bombs were airburst. They are much more effective that way.

There ya go.

That said:

There's numerous highly irradiated craters in FO3.

If we get populated cities, I'm going to work on a mini nuke mortar system. =)

As for "alternate reality", we share the same history up to the 50s, then it splits off onto it's own timeline.

it's not a matter of tech. It's a matter of common sense and tactics.

But yeah, Surface bursts are mainly used for "hard" targets,. Missile silos and the like so as to maximize the damage in one location.

They do crater, but nowhere near the extent of say... a good sized chunk o' meteor.

These days, they use burrowing bombs "bunker busters" that plow underground to a desired depth, then explode.

Wheeee!

and you know what..you guys should add like Nuclear Test Sites somewhere in a Open Place like somewhere neer the Area 51 :D , with the Test Dummies and Retro Houses and Huge Craters again:D:D:D

And you know what the only Massive Explosion i have ever seen in the Game is when i choose to Blow Up Megaton but i loaded a Saved Game After because i am not the Bad Guy i just did it to Experiment..but back to the topic if you could Actually Blow Up a Atom Bomb...on the Test Site one of the Remaning ones that where never Tested :D But with an Explosion Equal or even Bigger than Megaton´s Or i might have the Same Plot of Megaton´s a Village with a Nuke in it and YOU with the decision of BLOWING IT UP SKY HIGH or just Leaving it there...or whatever but the Nuclear Test Site might be a good idea because in Nevada back in the Day there where Testing Nukes there...soo i think why not?? :thanks:
