Tchos
I don't know about the California vaults, but the ones in the DC area are listed to contain 107, 475, 85, 500, and 245 people. The records don't say how many people are supposed to be in Vault 101, but using those numbers as an average I'd expect 282 people or so, which is a far cry from what we see. Riven1978
Didn't really know about this Post you Had before i stared my Mod, But it seems that the same idea ensues: a way to re-enter the vault after trouble on the homefront. To let you know i have not forgotten my little extension to your vault and am quickly getting more and more knowledge of the GECK use so as i learn more a little bit more of the Vault will be finished. youreviltwinSA
And I guess Beth hasn't kicked off the old habits from Oblivion (There were only about two or three hundred people in the entire place, not counting respawns). I thought Vaults could shelter up to a thousand people? To be fair, in Fallout 1 and 2 never looked like they could support a thousand people. If re-enter Vault 13 in Fallout 1 there's a maximum of about 20 people in there. I suppose there could be other floors but the elevator won't take you there. I think in Fallout 3 we are supposed to assume the same thing - I'm sure there's one or two unopenable doors here and there. I guess we are supposed to imagine the Vault is larger and has more people. Also, supposedly the vaults were not filled to capacity because of "cry wolf" syndrome, there had been so many evacuation tests that people thought it was another drill and were in no hurry to get into the vaults. The vaults sealed and hundreds of people that had bought a place in a Vault were left stranded outside. So which maximum capacity might have been a thousand, it's quite reasonable that it only had a hundred occupants. It's also possible they didn't reproduce much and so the population shrank slightly, rather than growing. I reckon Vault 101 is supposed to have about a hundred people in it. It's still kind of lame that we only see about 20, but at least that's 20 out of a 100 rather than 20 out of a 1000.
