I am currently trying to figure out the "version control" stuff in the CK, because smebody told me that that is "the way to go" for bigger projects ... I have already set up all of the folders and the ini files according to this tutorial:https://www.creationkit.com/fallout4/index.php?title=Version_Control_and_Multiple_Contributor_Collaboration This is the point where I am stuck on:In the tutorial, it says to create the "first merge" you have to load up the ESP file, then open the file - data - plugin selection window, select Fallout4.esm and click on "details".Then after that is loaded, you have to hit CTRL + SHIFT + B to "update the bit array files" and a message should appear (Do you want to continue ...?). But that does not happen. When I hit CTRL + SHIFT + B, nothing happens. According to that tutorial, when you select Fallout4.esm and go to "details", a message should open that asks "Do you want to load an empty list to save memory?". That also does not appear, it just loads all of the "details". Am I doing something wrong here, or what ... ? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
DieFeM Posted July 25, 2020 Share Posted July 25, 2020 I had to configure it myself 3 days ago and I found that adding the settings in CreationKitCustom.ini, as stated, Version Control is not actually loaded. You know VC is being loaded because it starts with a Perforce error and the menu has a new button: So you must put those settings in CreationKit.ini, also make sure the settings are not duplicated, 2 of them already exist in the ini iirc.
