NullKore35 Posted July 28, 2020 Share Posted July 28, 2020 Hello everyone,recently I've noticed that every high elf female in my game has neckseams,while the other races are fine high elves have this weird different color scheme for head and body and it just looks awful.Here some photos that show both normal races and high elves https://imgur.com/a/YhcFVMS My load order: 00 Oblivion.esm 01 Windfall.esm 02 All Natural Base.esm [Version 1.38] 03 Francesco's Leveled Creatures-Items Mod.esm [Version 5.0] 04 Francesco's Optional New Items Add-On.esm [Version 5.0] 05 Francesco's Optional New Creatures Add-On.esm [Version 5.0] 06 Cobl Main.esm [Version 1.74] 07 Morrowind_ob.esm [Version 0.65] 08 Unofficial Oblivion Patch.esp [Version 3.5.6] 09 Oblivion Citadel Door Fix.esp 0A DLCShiveringIsles.esp 0B Unofficial Shivering Isles Patch.esp [Version 1.5.9] 0C Francesco's Creatures and Items Resources.esp [Version 5.0] 0D All Natural.esp [Version 1.38] 0E All Natural - SI.esp [Version 1.38] 0F Immersive Interiors.esp [Version 0.8.1] 10 Immersive Interiors - Bravil.esp 11 Immersive Interiors - Imperial City.esp [Version 1.5] 12 Immersive Interiors - Landscape Addon.esp 13 GOSH.esp 14 All Natural - Real Lights.esp [Version 1.38] 15 WindowLightingSystem.esp 16 AliveWaters.esp 17 AliveWaters - Koi Addon.esp 18 AliveWaters - Slaughterfish Addon.esp 19 Book Jackets Oblivion.esp 1A DarNifiedUI Config Addon.esp 1B kuerteeCleanUp.esp 1C OblivionReloaded.esp 1D QZ Easy Menus.esp 1E Enhanced Hotkeys.esp [Version 2.3.1] 1F DLCHorseArmor.esp 20 DLCHorseArmor - Unofficial Patch.esp [Version 1.0.9] 21 DLCOrrery.esp 22 DLCOrrery - Unofficial Patch.esp [Version 1.0.7] 23 DLCVileLair.esp 24 DLCVileLair - Unofficial Patch.esp [Version 1.0.11] 25 DLCMehrunesRazor.esp 26 DLCMehrunesRazor - Unofficial Patch.esp [Version 1.0.7] 27 DLCSpellTomes.esp 28 DLCSpellTomes - Unofficial Patch.esp [Version 1.0.1] 29 EVE_StockEquipmentReplacer.esp 2A Immersive Weapons.esp 2B New Frostmourne Sword by Jojjo v1_0.esp 2C Weapons Of Morrowind.esp [Version 1.0] 2D DLCThievesDen.esp 2E DLCThievesDen - Unofficial Patch.esp [Version 1.0.15] 2F Francesco's Optional Dungeon Chest Loot.esp [Version 5.0] 30 Francesco's Optional Dungeon Chest Locks.esp [Version 5.0] 31 Francesco's Optional House Chest Loot.esp [Version 5.0] 32 Francesco's Optional New Adventurers.esp [Version 5.0] 33 Francesco's Optional Vendor Tweaks.esp [Version 5.0] 34 Cobl Glue.esp [Version 1.73] 35 Cobl Si.esp [Version 1.63] 36 Cobl Tweaks - SI.esp 37 Fransfemale.esp 38 Weapon Expansion Pack for Oblivion Nthusiasts.esp 39 Morrowind_ob.esp 3A Morrowind_ob - UCWUS.esp [Version 1.5.1] 3B Morrowind_ob - Chargen and Transport Mod.esp [Version 12] 3C Morrowind_ob - MorroblivionTreeReplacer.esp 3D Morrowind_ob - Morroblivion Maps.esp 3E Morrowind_ob - Conversation.esp 3F Ivellon.esp [Version 1.8] 40 7roads.esp 41 BrotherhoodRenewed.esp [Version 1.1.2] 42 OLDArchfiend.esp 43 The Forgotten Dungeon.esp 44 The Underking.esp 45 The Crimson Queen.esp [Version 2.1] 46 Windfall.esp 47 DLCBattlehornCastle.esp 48 DLCBattlehornCastle - Unofficial Patch.esp [Version 1.0.12] 49 DLCFrostcrag.esp 4A DLCFrostcrag - Unofficial Patch.esp [Version 1.0.10] 4B Knights.esp 4C Knights - Unofficial Patch.esp [Version 1.1.8] 4D Oblivion Uncut.esp 4E Archfiend-OblivionUncut Patch.esp 4F DLCBattlehorn-OblivionUncut Patch.esp 50 EVE_KnightsoftheNine.esp 51 KORE- Blood Drinker Umbra.esp 52 The Lost Spires.esp 53 Morroblivion Conversation - The Lost Spires Patch.esp 54 MannimarcoRevisited.esp 55 ReclaimSancreTor.esp [Version 1.0.5] 56 Harvest [Flora].esp [Version 3.0.0] 57 Harvest [Flora] - Shivering Isles.esp [Version 3.0.0] 58 Harvest [Flora] - DLCVileLair.esp [Version 3.0.0] 59 Harvest [Flora] - DLCFrostcrag.esp [Version 3.0.0] 5A Auto Update Leveled Items And Spells.esp [Version 1.2.5] 5B EVE_ShiveringIslesEasterEggs.esp 5C GMArcheryRebalance.esp [Version 1.0] ** Grass Overhaul.esp 5D Improved Fires and Flames - Increased Sound.esp 5E P1DkeyChain.esp [Version 5.00] 5F Relevant Scrolls & Potions & Staves.esp 60 RefScope.esp [Version 2.1.2] 61 MidasSpells.esp 62 SigilStoneSelector.esp 63 Denock Arrows.esp 64 DKImperials.esp 65 Cobl Races.esp [Version 1.52] 66 Oblivion_Character_Overhaul.esp [Version 2.0] 67 OCO_DLCHorseArmor_Patch.esp 68 OCO_DLCOrrery_Patch.esp 69 OCO_DLCMehrunesRazor_Patch.esp 6A OCO_DLCThievesDen_Patch.esp 6B OCO_KnightsOTN_Patch.esp 6C OCO_UOP_USIP_Patch.esp 6D bgMagicEV.esp [Version 1.7EV] ++ Cobl Filter Late MERGE ONLY.esp [Version 1.53] ** All Natural - Indoor Weather Filter For Mods.esp [Version 1.38] 6E NecroLich.esp 6F Secrets Of Angalayond Cey.esp 70 Practical Training.esp 71 GOSH - All Natural Patch.esp [Version 1.0] 72 Ultimate Leveling.esp [Version 1.9.5.2] 73 morrob_damolagbal_fix.esp 74 Knights Patch.esp [Version -02] 75 Bashed Patch, 0.esp 76 Maskar's Oblivion Overhaul.esp [Version 4.9.4.2] Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Striker879 Posted July 28, 2020 Share Posted July 28, 2020 (edited) I see that you use Oblivion Character Overhaul v2, which means you have Blockhead installed and working, so if you want to do a test of what I propose you have all the technology required. I use the High Elf textures (both male and female) from Female Body Retextured to do a PerRace Blockhead override. Look in the Female Body Retextured version 1.2 extracted download and in the "13 High elf own texture" folder you'll find textures\characters\highelf\female and textures\characters\highelf\male folders. The footfemale.dds and footmale.dds files found in those folders will be your source files. Next in your game's folders create the following folder paths: Oblivion\Data\Textures\Characters\BodyAssetOverrides\PerRace\FOblivion\Data\Textures\Characters\BodyAssetOverrides\PerRace\M Copy footfemale.dds from the Female Body Retextured source and paste it into the Oblivion\Data\Textures\Characters\BodyAssetOverrides\PerRace\F folder and rename the file to High Elf_Foot.dds (so now you will have Oblivion\Data\Textures\Characters\BodyAssetOverrides\PerRace\F\High Elf_Foot.dds) and then do the same for the source footmale.dds from Female Body Retextured except it goes into the M folder (giving you Oblivion\Data\Textures\Characters\BodyAssetOverrides\PerRace\M\High Elf_Foot.dds). Note the space in the renamed file names High Elf_Foot.dds not HighElf_Foot.dds (the name must match exactly to what you see in the race menu for capitalization, special characters and spaces). I see that I haven't done the same for the HandFemale.dds file from Female Body Retextured (guess I don't see enough difference to notice) ... if you were going to use that file it would be renamed toPerRace\F\High Elf_Hand.dds (Roberts Male don't use a separate file for hands, and what is in Female Body Retextured's highelf\male folder is only compatible with Roberts Male). The other files found in the Female Body Retextured highelf\female folder are for the vanilla game body (i.e. not required if you are using HGEC). NullKore35 Posted July 30, 2020 Author Share Posted July 30, 2020 Hey,thanks a lot for the help,they look much better now but neckseams are still slightly visible,with lights and stuff I don't pay much attention to it but in the inventory for instance it's still visible,not like before of course. Striker879 Posted July 30, 2020 Share Posted July 30, 2020 Hey,thanks a lot for the help,they look much better now but neckseams are still slightly visible,with lights and stuff I don't pay much attention to it but in the inventory for instance it's still visible,not like before of course. Do you use Seamless - OCOv2 already? If so there may be some problem with it's installation ... if not then it is the current state of the art for reducing neckseams. One of the roots to the neckseam problem is the way that normal maps (the _n.dds files) align between the head mesh and body mesh (as well as a mesh vertices alignment problem). The seamless series for bodies and equipment are as good as we presently have but there are further limitations imposed by the vanilla game at an individual NPC level that are still unresolved (Bethesda really crushed the colour and/or tone sliders for certain NPCs, and neither the vanilla game nor seamless EGT files can transfer the extreme slider info from head to body). If you are looking for every single NPC in the game to lose the neckseam you will need to roll up your sleeves and do some editing in the CS. NullKore35 Posted July 31, 2020 Author Share Posted July 31, 2020 Yes I use seamless,it's not a problem anymore don't worry,neckseams are either nonexistent or slightly visible which is enough to not let my eyes bleed haha,talking about individual npcs ,well if the NPC is really important and it has a serious neckseam I'll tinker a bit with it,thanks again for the help and the information!
