Solitude102
I discovered that the official DLCs in Skyrim have what are called 'dirty edits' and I'm just wondering if cleaning them (using TES5EDIT) is safe? I am running a good number of mods and I don't mind the occasional crash here and there, but I would like to do anything I can to help prevent that. Is it safe to proceed, or would there be further complications in doing so? Edit: I highly thank you for answering my question Lanceor! Lanceor
Yes, it's safe to proceed. You can make backups of the esps before cleaning them if you want - TES5Edit will do this automatically so making a backup is actually redundant, but at least you'd have a bit more peace of mind. And if anything ever does mess up, you can always get Steam to Verify the Game Cache and it will replace any official DLCs that have been modified. Most experienced mod-makers swear by this tool. And if anyone knows the game's file system well, it's the mod makers. Edit: You're welcome. :) Edited January 26, 2013 by Lanceor
