Vault-Tecs very own private vault.

This is a project concept a friend and I am currently working on. We are planning to start developing on it in the new year.

Ever wondered why Vault-Tec (the company with all the advanced technology and resources to create the vaults) had their headquarters/research center above ground where it can be bombed? Well not all of it!!! In secrete they created their own top-of-the-line vault with all their latest innovations and equipment inside for their top executives and researchers to survive in ... only problem is it never got used!

Find out the reason why, were it is located and how to gain access, then reactivate it, explore it and discover all the hidden secretes within.

This mod will include a very extensive vault to explore (more like what was envisaged in the original Fallout concept and not like the poxy small/incomplete vaults we got!) with hidden secretes, new weapons/armor to find, as well has the quest to find clues to its existence, why it never got used and how to find it and gain access to it. It will also give you an alternative place to base your character as it'll have all the stuff you need.

Would be interested in your thoughts and ideas on this concept.

(I'm not related to this project in any way, so don't listen to me)

No, it is called.. Vault 1337 666 CR0C0D1LE. The vault will contain the best weapon in the game.. A crocodile head. You launch it at your enemies and watch it snap their faces off. Brilliant innovation, brilliant invention.

It is connected to a complex catacomb which is filled with.. GIANT YOUTUBE VIDEOS. THEY PLAN TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD RUN!

Eh, sorry about that. I'm bored beyond.. Meh.

I'm looking foward to this mod, it sounds exciting. Good luck.

As long as it doesn't turn into another cheesy Vault mod you've got my vote.

Mikael,

I've begun to wonder why people (no offense to ya here) seem to point out 'canon' and 'lore' when dealing with Fallout 3 mods but no one seems to give a rats arse about Oblivion's canon or lore... heh.

More people care about Fallout it seems.

It might be also the fact that even the main writer of the TES series, after being sacked following the purge of talent and competence from Bethesda, abandoned trying to fit Oblivion into the series, discarding it as non-canon.

yeah i didn't see anyone crying themselves to sleep when the lightsaber mods for oblivion came out lol.

@ op, This sounds like it could be really really good or really really bad. i mean if were going "super lore" mode, all Vault tec employees were spread around different vaults to start with, they were the original overseers, security, scientists/medics, engineers etc.

Personally i think if you are going for the %100 lore friendly approach, i would keep it more as an underground observation lab, as its well known some vaults were "tests" or research into social interaction, how humans would live, what happens to the humans mind, how well order keeps in certain situations. ive always thought it weird such vaults exist, but no ones there to take results....

Thing is if u take that approach, your going to need npcs down there.

Just some thoughts.

Not really Syntax. Remember, the bombs were dropped 200 years ago. That leaves plenty of time for the folks 'observing' the other Vaults to kick the bucket.
