888mikem888
So, I have the Fallout NV redesigned mod, and the heads are all white, even if their body is black, etc. I found that I need to update or edit my ini files. Now I know how to open it, but I don't know what to edit to make it work, or which one I'm suppose to edit. I have it on not read only (which I'm sure is what its suppose to be on), and I have NVSE, archive invalidated, and FOMM. Ive searched high and low on the internet to figure out what to do, and all people say is to update or edit your ini files. There are a couple of other texture mods I have that also say it needs to be updated to work. Sorry if this is kind of stupid, technology has never liked me it seems. Id appreciate any help that could be given.

Don't know what archive invalidated you have I recall reading in the redesigned 2 page that it stopped working or something. I've never used it and never had issues with just manually toggling archive invalidate in FOMM. As for your other mods dunno which you got so couldn't help with out that info. Best of Luck! I installed the calibration and skin fixes and it still didn't work. But Ill do it again just for the sake of it. The other mod I have that's not working is breezes male bodies. I figured it would be related to the same reason why Redesigned 2 isn't working properly. Thanks for the reply though :)

Might try manually archive invalidate with fomm Q The face doesn't seem to match the skin below the neck A: This was something that I struggled with. Keep in mind that there are three stages of this problem. The first problem is where it is..way off. It's where the face is white and the skin is black. This is a problem that occurs when Archive Invalidation isn't working properly. I'd clean the ini's through steam (just go into steam right click fallout new vegas and there should be a clean option) then try fomm archive invalidate without making any ini changes. I redid the fix in the redesigned file and it worked! And I feel so stupid I never had fomod! Ill go download it and see if it works. EDIT: Aw, it still looks off. The default body has no problems, but when ever I have any armor or clothes on the arms have weird discolorations. But Redesigned works perfectly fine now. Its just breeze now. Did you use FOMM Archive Invalidate he recommends using it over the other method. open FOMM go to tools click archive invalidate off and back on? Awesome guess there was a small typo in the ini for redesigned or something.
SpartanVOO1
Open " C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\falloutnew vegas\fallout_default.ini "Go to line " 92". In this line orclose to this line should be written:" bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles=0 "change the value from " 0 " to " 1 "and save the file.

Thanks :)

Awesome guess there was a small typo in the ini for redesigned or something. I have turned it on and off in both FOMM and the actual archive invalidated.... like 20 times. And it's still not working. It's kind of baffling because it seems there should be absolutely no reason for it to not work. I have installed it manually AND automatically with FOMM. I've uninstalled it, reinstalled it, running out of ideas :S Edited January 27, 2013 by 888mikem888
