MRELEKTRIK
I have been having issues getting my better cities mod to display correctly. I have tried using boss but still can't seem to get my load order just right. The problem happens in the Imperial Cities Arcane University. The Outer Walls, some stairs and the main central building are not displaying. I use only a few mods and this is the load order boss sets me up with:oblivion esmbetter cities esmshivering isle espbetter cities esp (permanent resources)window lighting espdlc esp's (8 in all)kotn espcoulorwheels's sexy tavern espcw's skyrim outpost espcw's db sanctuary espcw's ayleid shrine espcw's pym companion espcw's oblivion overhaul espbetter cities full espbetter cities vwd for ic espbetter imperial city esp
talveren
Would you post your load order from Wyre Bash? You can do that by opening Wrye Bash, clicking the Mods tab, right clicking next to File, and clicking List Mods. Paste into the forum post. It will include the spoiler tags. talveren
where can I download wyre bash. I have never used it before. You can get it from the nexus. http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/22368.Once you've got it installed, you'll want to run start -> all programs -> Wrye Bash -> Wyre Bash (Standalone) - Oblivion. Wrye bash is a sort of catch all of useful Oblivion utilities. If Hickory comments, he's the expert and I'd listen to him if he does. I use it and it's helped me troubleshoot a lot of my mod problems. Basically, once you have Wrye Bash installed, it will read your Oblivion\Data folder and generate a list of mods that will show up in that mods tab I talked about. It integrates with BOSS so you can launch BOSS from it (once you've made sure the integration is enabled) and it will get the load order from that. Make sure your mods are all checked off in a green box at least before you create the bashed patch (see second half of video) A green checkbox with a check mark in it means installed AND activated. The first half of this video is about that integration with BOSS: Eventually, we're going to tell you to create a bashed patch because it helps resolve a lot of conflicts. It may be that's all you need to do, but without seeing your load order we won't be able to tell. Edited January 28, 2013 by talveren

MRELEKTRIK
When I installed the program it created a bashed patch. All of my mods were active when I installed it.
MRELEKTRIK
Here is a screenshot of exactly what is happening in game if that helps too. http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag50/N1NJ4SEAN/ScreenShot4_zpsb7e96933.jpg
talveren
it creates a bashed patch by default. If you want it to include your mods, you need to rebuild it. That particular screenshot looks like a known issue. If you leave that area, save, load the new save and come back to the Arcane University, do you still have the hovering doors? Also, when we're done with this, I would highly recommend you install the unofficial patches. There's one for the game, one for shivering isles, and one each for the DLC. MRELEKTRIK
Yea, Sometimes it makes it worse when I try to leave and save, when I go back sometimes it's still the same and other times I think more is missing.
talveren
Ok, what I would do at this point is the following: 1. Rebuild your bashed patch. The directions are in the video I linked to earlier. Check and see if it works. If it doesn't work then go to the next steps. 2. Disable all of the CW mods If the bug still occurs, then uninstall CW, Better Cities, Signs, and lighting. Make sure you can launch the vanilla game at this point. Now, install the unofficial patches. Install order matters in this case, so it has to happen in the right order. Install in this order1. http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/5296 -- Oblivion2. http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/10739 -- Shivering Isles3. http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/9969 -- The rest of the Official DLC patches Sort them using BOSS. What should happen is that the UOP will be after Oblivion, the Shivering Isles Unofficial Patch will be after Shivering Isles, and each of the DLC mods will have a patch after them. Now, in Wrye Bash, rebuild the Bashed patch and make sure you can launch Oblivion. If everything's lovely, then we start adding back mods. I'm not all that familiar with colour wheels so please, please read the readmes that come with them. I'm going to go through the most basic install order. 1. Add back Better Cities. As usual, sort them with BOSS and rebuild the bashed patch. See if the bug you're having problems with reoccurs. 2. Add each CW mod one at a time. after each one, Sort with Boss, rebuild the bashed patch, and check for the bug. 3. Add back the sign mod and the window lighting mod. after each one, Sort with Boss, rebuild the bashed patch, and check for the bug. If your problem is the patches, then the bug likely won't reoccur. If the problem is one of the mods, you'll be able to narrow down which one is your problem child and look into it further. I highly recommend that you read through the Wyre Bash instructions and try to use it for installing. It will help you figure out what files are getting overridden and whether you want that to happen.
