Yeah, I know about that. Its because I set the self-illumination (model appears a minimum brightness no matter how much light) to zero. Yes, it makes the textures appear darker sometimes, but the high self-illumination morrowind seems to use isn't too realistic. What I need to do is find just what amount is right to counter morrowind's lack of global illumination (ambient light), but I'm not sure exactly what I'm going to use for the final mod.

I just checked these weapons out in-game and they look outstanding! Great job!

When do you plan to have icons for these weapons? Also, how many polys are these weapons? They look about right for MW but I was just curious of the exact amount.

Thanks and keep up the great work Peregrine :)

1. sounds good :)

2. That's a bit high for MW. MW weapons should be under 1000 polys...it's ok if some are 1000-1500, but they most certainly shouldn't be over 2500. Just thought you'd like to know. Keep up the good work.

Well, a little necromancy and I'm back to work on the "dead" project... new mace model done and texturing in progress! Sorry about the bad quality picture, I'm rendering a better one, but its going very slowly.

farrp: Poly counts seem to be working.... I've tried them ingame with no framerate loss, and haven't heard anyone else mention it either. Of course just to contradict what I've said, the final version may have fewer polys once I go back and clean up the import from autocad (it adds a lot of polys to curves).
