iDiru
I am thinking about installing a mod with 300+ fairly detailed creatures, plus new weapons and loot. It's pretty much standard looking Skyrim creatures in the way of detail I mean. I think. But I am afraid if I install it I will get overloaded or something or it will make my game super slow. I play on HQ settings right now and it plays very well. I have the mods: ApachiiSkyHairFlans EyesImproved FishBirds of SkyrimSome mod that adds more bugs slof's just for men (clothing mod) fishing in skyrimand two mods that change the texture and body shape of males. One is for faces the other is for bodies. Also I only put the specs that I think are needed.EDITI downloaded it and it's 500,000 kb + Edited January 30, 2013 by iDiru
ZennonKrupa
I am not an expert. In fact I don't know much about computers at all. BUT, from what I have learned in the past two months of modding and computing, I don't think you will have any problems with those mods. Start running 250 mods and HQ everything textures and you will experience a decrease in performance. It depends on how your computer is set up, if your mods are compatible, etc. That is what is important. A sound system, and a sound load order/mod compatibility. Here are pathways for you to find your own assistance and knowledge. May it bring you to a stable game regardless of your mod ambitions. My advice: Explore your options, learn your system, perfect your system, know your mods, perfect your mod setup, & enjoy a stable game. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/27959http://www.geforce.com/Optimize/Guides/stable-gaming#1http://s1.zetaboards.com/bbenlibrary/topic/4751769/1/#new
Georgiegril
In addition to the advice that the above poster left for you, I would also ad that reading the comments left on the mod's discussion page can often give you a clue to the mod's issues, if there are any. In addition, mod authors often discuss the requirements of their mod, and address possible fps issues in their description and/or readme pages. Often any questions I might have on a mod are answered if a read all of the mod's information carefully. If there isn't information available, you might write a post on the mod discussion page asking--IMO mod authors try to help as much as they can.
