Jodi79
1) take a look in menu to the graphic setting, maybe there's something wrong 2) could be an uncorrect installation: take a backup of your save, and reinstall all (remember to delete .ini file in documents\mygames\skyrim 3) have you the last update.. 1.8. something? 4) have you tried to update card drivers? 5) download the unofficial skyrim patch (for dlc too).. it will fix an amount of bugs.. maybe yours too Edited January 30, 2013 by Jodi79

Jodi79
yes.. in data. i have some suggestion, just in case you'll start modding your game. 1) Take a manager from nexus for install mods (Nexus Mod Managaer NMM is the site's official one, is good but could give problem with some mods. I use TES mod manager..but there are several of them, choose your favorite) 2) read always descriptions (some mods have particular install\uninstall rules) and 2 or 3 comment's page(to know if there are problems or bugs) 3) Before installing mods affecting script backup your last save, because some times they could corrupt your game(because of conflicts or bugs).. and you have to know that sometimes (not all time) this kind of mods can't be uninstalled or will corrupt your save. 4) when\if you'll have mods is important to have a good load order: BOSS will make it for you http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/

HeyYou
6770M, so, you are playing on a laptop? Seems that most folks experiencing this problem, it turned out to be a hardware issue..... or inadequate power supply, or simply overheating. Could try making sure the vents for the cooling fan on your laptop are clear, and the fan is actually running.... probably about all you can do. bben46
That looks like a graphics overheating problem. Not much you can do on a laptop to actually fix it. But here are some ideas - As HeyYou said, check the cooling fan - If it is clogged with crud (cat hair is the bain of laptop fans) shut down completely, pull the power cord & remove the battery - Open every openable hatch there is on the bottom of the laptop & clean any crud found there. - use a small screwdriver to open those that don't pop off. - if you are lucky, one may give access to the fan (not likely though) Use a can of compressed air to try to clear the crud. (DO NOT use high pressure air - over 50psi as that can damage things) If that doesn't do it, then try using long pipe cleaners (available at hobby stores) to clean it - The pipe cleaners are an alternative to disassembling the laptop to get to the fan. Push the pipe cleaner in as far as it will go without forcing it - then twirl it to loosen dirt, hair and crud. Use low pressure air afterwards also to blow out any loose dirt. Then, get a laptop cooling pad - this lifts the laptop off the desk and has a fan to blow air across the bottom helping keep it a bit cooler. But won't help much if the internal fan is clogged.
