quizzical issue with wood land rangers

now, i love hunting in bolivoon, eally love it, so i thought id have a crack a woodland rangers. i downloaded all the files it seemed to work fine, apart from a couple of generic rangers having the yeloow exclamation diamond around them. anywho, i embarked on the first quest, which for those of you who dont know involves killing a load of trolls. when i got to the cheydinhal gate where the trols are, there were about 12 of em, and some npc corpses. now the trols. i tried hitting them, didnt really do much. i tried elstic arrows which do over 500 damage a shot, barely harmed. th end i had to use instant death arrows (5160 damage). hv i done something to make thses trolls so tough?

if you have yellow exclamtion points,I'd say something isn't installed correctly,if one thing went wrong,it may have caused other problems as well
