GodofAlcohol
Hey,We´ve been tinkering with some item models and now want to give an item a new texture. So Far I only did positioning issues with NifSkope and i may add I´m a totally noob on this topic. So, is there a way to replace the textures of an existing item with NifSkope, or is there even a better tool to do it with and HOW can I do this ? Ygfbv
Find the BSSTexture thingy, and expand it. You can change the texture(s) there. EDIT: To clarify, you know that thing to the left of the model? You can find the BSS texture thing there.
GodofAlcohol
Thanks a lot, i found it ;) Just got another question for altering the Object (for example a cigarette):I tried to extract the Object as .OBJ from NifSkope, then import and change it via Belender or 3dsMax and export it to a new .OBJ file. Now when I import the new Object in NifSkope (and replace the Original Object Node) and save it as .NIF, my GECK screws up when I assign the new model to an object. Can anyone tell me what I´m doing wrong?

Currently directly importing .OBJ to NifSkope makes it go wonky as the tools aren't finished in that department. All the things that we can do and that you need to do to get your model working is listed in the modelling mini tutorial sticky, and the settings for exporting your model as a .nif from Max can be found here. You'll need to install the correct version of the Max plugin as well - 3.0 for exporting models for use in-game if I'm not mistaken.
