Followers enter and leave home in a loop

I need some help figuring this out - my follower continuously tries to leave my custom home cell, comes back and leaves again over and over in an endless loop. Others using my custom home mod have the same problem. I'm assuming something isn't right with the home. The cell location and zone are set to the default Breezehome settings. Any suggestions?

Did you finalize your navmesh?

Yes, on this last release I re-did cover edges, updated preferred pathing and finalized.

 

I'm really at a loss as to what causes this behavior, not sure if it's the home, a mod or an AI setting.

I wonder if it has something to do with the 1.8 update? or changes related to Hearthfire? (which I don't have)

I am using a different modders Breezehome mod (Breezehome fully upgradeable) and I, like many others on that mod, am experiencing exactly the problem you describe with that mod, too.

It seems to me that something must be up--not just a little oversight by a mod author.

(I suggested the finalize thing because that is what I saw with my own mod when I forgot to do that!)

 

I wonder of moving the load door activators farther inside might help? Renavmeshing that area, just in hopes it will make a difference? I'm grasping for straws here....

You might try PMing other breezehome modders and see if they found a fix? or at least you could share what didn't work and save each other some time.....
