MatiSol9
Hello,I'm been working on a weapon/dungeon mod. I created a custom boss model (based on draugr) to serve as a boss (using Outfit Studio because I didn't know how to import a nif with armature into blender). Well, I have a problem with difference of armor's position fron OS to Creation Kit (and the game). The fact that Draugr model's armature is bugged as hell in Outfit Studio doesn't help. Rather than explaining the problem I'm just gonna show it because it's rather obvious form looking at screenshots ;-). Here's how the model is supposed to look like:https://imgur.com/a/sqGxo2MAnd here's what I have in CK and in game (and an extra picture of bugged pose option in OS)https://imgur.com/a/x92pNts I would be grateful for help, I have no idea how to fix it (it animates kinda correctly but is too high, the crown and the hair don't appear at all) Here's the nif:https://files.fm/u/j4qadve8 Edited August 17, 2020 by MatiSol9
cumbrianlad
Hi! I'm no expert with models and nifs, though I muddle through. I hate threads with no replies, though I've downloaded the nif. I'll see what I can spot, but don't hold your breath! Like I say, I'm not the best person to look at this for you. All I can do is try. At least by replying for you, I've bumped your post up a bit! Dragoon23
The crown isn't appearing because it's unweighted. You'll need to copy bone weights and/or manually add weights to it under bone settings. As for why the armor is too high: I believe its due to the armor's coordinates not aligning with the underlying body layer. You can try editing all the layers to 0,0,0 via right click-> properties->coordinates.
cumbrianlad
Dragon23, Phew! I'd not have got to that, even if I had found time to look! OP... you've got a proper expert now!
MatiSol9
Thank you so much for help :-)! It's working (well, mostly, it's still a little bit wonky but I can fix it on my own)!
