megadeth1818
Im trying to make a Perk Entry Point using Set to Actor Value Mult function with OneHanded as the Actor Value. The problem is, every time I close out of the window I see that the selected actor value gets changed from OneHanded to AbsorbChance. I dont know if this is a bug or if you just arent allowed to use that Actor Value, but you can select OneHandedMod or OneHandedPowerMod without your selection being changed. So what are these values? Im just trying to create a perk that modifies incoming damage based on One Handed skill
cumbrianlad
The best answer I can give is that OneHanded is the actual skill, so changing that changes the actor's skill level. That's when it would show up green in the player skills part of the user interface. OneHandedMod is altering the damage done by one-handed weapons. Can't think what OneHandedPowerMod will do?! It's easier to understand with destruction. Altering the Destruction actor value by 30 increases the player's skill in destruction, so they benefit from the normal spell cost reduction as if they'd increased the skill to that value by levelling up destruction. It won't be 30% reduction, it'll be less and the higher the player's skill in destruction, the less use it'll be to the player. It'll follow the graph for how that is worked out. Altering the DestructionMod actor value by 30, gives the player a straight 30% reduction in destruction spell cost. Altering the DestructionPowerMod actor value by 30, gives the player 30% more damage to all of their destruction spells. I'm thinking you can't use it in a perk because perks aren't set up to do that. I could be wrong on that.
Evangela
You certainly can use those in perks.
cumbrianlad
Thanks Rasikko. So I was wrong about the last bit! you can add to the player's skill with a perk. I said I may be wrong! I didn't try to do it, but I could see it as an option. How would I or the OP add to player skill with a perk, then? If they can do it, then what they tried didn't work for some reason. megadeth1818
You definitely can do it with some skills but not One Handed. You can select it in the drop down menu but after closing and reopening the Perk Entry Point menu youll see that the chosen Actor Value gets changed to something else. Same thing happened with Two Handed. There were some that it let me select just fine though. The Entry Point I was trying to use was Modify Armor Rating if that makes any difference
