TES V as a MMO........

All right Im new here (not that you have to care), but here is my opinion.

I think I'm the only one who actually WANT TES V to be a MMO!!!! I mean, i just love morrowind and oblivion. but its kinda boring when travelling around tamriel and meeting bandits, forresters, and other npc's, when YOURE THE ONLY ON EVER, WEARING EBONY, GLASS OR DAEDRIC ARMOR! It could be so cool if you and youre friend is travelling in the woods, at spots another player with good gear, an then you and youre friend, decied to kill him, and take all the gear to sell!!! I mean if you make that every player is killable, you could just slay the newbs who yells at your, or being annoying. Think about it, you could actually have REAL GUILD WARS, if every player is killable like in oblivion! And if you become member of fighters guild, players would have to pay you little gold, to find and kill the guys that robbed them. And they should make it, so when entering a cave without a group or party, YOU will have the cave to loot youreself. But i you enter a cave when you have joined a group, YOU and YOURE group have the cave to loot youreself, kinda like in Hellgate : London. And if the game is too much GB they could make it so the game runs on the cd only, like on xbox, where you never actually install the game. I even thought of making it a USB like game, where the game runs on a USB, when you plug it into the pc. Its not that I hate the other TES Series, but when my lvl 30 mage/warrior walk in the Imperial City, Im actually never scared of leaving the safe walls and the legion soldiers, because i now a can take every monster and bandit down. But if it were a MMO, It would NEVER be safe to walk in the wilderness. Even if youre are at lvl 60 or so, and have the best gear ever, you never know when a group of other players is following you, just until you reach outside the city guards eyes and Suddenly assault you, to take all the gaer for themselves. For the first time, you will NEVER feel safe in Tamriel!!!. When you think about it, TES is almost like a MMO, it has open-ended worlds, an lots of npc's, but somehow you allways feel lonely when playin it.

Please write back.

NO! NO! NOOOOOO! Many good games have been ruined when they jumped on the MMO bandwagon. It's a great way for a game company to make money by charging a fee to play. However, it limits gameplay to what the maker puts in. In other words, you are LOCKED IN to what they want. NO MODS! except what THEY allow.

Please leave at least one good singe player game for those who are stuck with slow or no internet access, for those who don't want to play with an 11 year old hot shot or a 45 year old noob or for those who want to make and use mods.

Don't say they can do both. EVERY game that has tried that has either folded or dropped the single player version for the money that the MMO brought in. If the MMO didn't catch on, they didn't have the cash available to maintain the single player version. Then in trying to salvage the MMO, they drop the single player version. There are dozens of struggling MMOs out there that started as single player and got seduced by the MMO cash flow model.

Every time I come online I see a new post about TES V being an MMO. There are two posts about it in the General Oblivion right now. This brings up a couple of questions for me

first. If

MMO's are so great to play, why did you buy Oblivion? Are there not any good MMO's to play? If not, then why ruin a good game by making it another crappy MMO?

secondly. Since everybody has their own opinions and tastes, why should those who would rather play Oblivion the way it is, be forced to play an MMO. You could say that we wouldn't be forced to play it. We could simply not buy the new TES V and I believe that is the way most of us here feel about Oblivion. If someone wants to play an MMO then buy an MMO and leave TES the way they are.

MMO(RPG) = competition. Always. And don't you tell me I'm wrong, they all go that way.

TES = immersion. Well, technically it is supposed to be.

Competition ruins immersion completely. Especially when you hear a "gg, lol, pvp?" from 1/2 of game's population.

MMOs are the best way to destroy a game's lore. Just look at WoW. Warcraft 3 had an interesting universe. Now, every bad guy from the game is being killed every week by a bunch of people saying gg, lol, etc. They keep making up stuff to keep players interested, and in the end, we have a world where everyone is uber powerful, with tons of powerful gear, even though the universe was originally based around a few select heroes, the rest being ordinary people.

I like TES because I get to be the hero, and while I have as much freedom to go around as in any MMO, it's actually my world. The thing about MMOs is that they look good in theory, but in practice, they all end up as a competition field for illiterate teenagers who really should be at school instead of playing time consuming games.

Yes, viz Counterstrike; and they come into game forums unrelated to their particular online paradigms all tuned up for a fight (expecting one), and get banned.

No to MMO TESV, sez I.
