Help, no sound besides ambient music and gunfire

Ok so long story short since I spent too long trying to fix this and I'm going to get like 2 hours of sleep: I came back to my New Vegas and everything worked perfectly and I was happy. I decided I wanted to get the ODST armor mod but it required Project Nevada. I installed it and it worked perfectly fine. I closed the game to install another mod and when I went to go open my save file it would crash.
I uninstalled the armor mod and Project Nevada but now I have no sound. No foot steps, no pip boy sounds, no stimpack sounds, no voice acting.
Please help me fix the damage Project Nevada did to me. It's driving me insane knowing that I had everything perfect and now even going back to old save files I have no audio

* It never hurts to run "chkdsk" and an anti-virus scan to check for corrupted files.

* Did you update anything else during this time period, such as a "Windows System update" or driver?

* Run the "DXDiag" tool to check your DirectX9 audio settings. (Please see the "Issue - Vanilla game Hangs on startup" entry under the "Solutions to Starting the game problems" section of the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" article. There are several other "SOUND -" entries under the "Solutions to Performance problems" section as well.)

* Then test your Windows "sound mixer" settings as well. Your "output device" may have been altered,

* The game has "memory leaks", primarily linked to the audio system due to the version of the Ogg Vorbis Libraries used by Bethesda. Getting 2-3 hours before a CTD is pretty good. The audio problem is fixed by using the updated "Ogg Vorbis Libraries" posted by Kane Wright. You might also want to try using the tool "CleanMem", which periodically (you can set the interval; default is every 15 minutes) tells the OS to perform it's built-in "clean up" of memory. It has a "mini-monitor" that displays memory usage. Doesn't seem to hurt and might help.

* After you uninstalled your latest mods, did you remember to run "verify local files" to restore any vanilla files they overwrote? (This might require you to re-install other mods as well. Re-check them for compatibility with TTW.) Note that PN modifies some XML files. Please see the wiki "HUD-UI-Menu issues" article. (This takes some interpretation as applies to your situation. There are too many permutations for an "if A then B" type of guide. If you haven't encountered XML files before then the "TL;DR" section is not going to help by itself.)

And now you know why we recommend not making ANY changes mid-play through.

Dubious I gotta hand it to ya man. I'm a pretty casual mod user, I work a lot and I know enough about mods to install them. I often forget my load order when I do have the time to game again, and I make a big mess like I did here. But every time I post to these forums, you're usually here to save my skin.
Good man. I did all the steps above and I'm unclear which one did it, but I have sound again. Appreciate you.

You're welcome.

People often think their problems are due to "just one thing". But really, you have to get the entire list of things in the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" and "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" articles correct to have a stable game. Just because things seem to be working okay after the first couple of "fixes" doesn't mean you are free and clear; just that you haven't hit the unresolved problems yet. Each problem has the potential to mask another until it is cleared. And then problems with your hardware can develop "out of the blue".
