I prefer to cook with base game concepts and mechanics wherever possible.

 

Even Stimpaking robots is fine to avoid the robot repair kit thing.

 

It's the concept of combat bleedout and recovery, rather than the "stuff" that is fun for me.

 

Adding new stuff just adds new RPG grind (and I hate RPG grind == Fallout 76).

 

Ok, well everybody has their own "thing" ...

 

But in my opinion, more options (like for crafting stuff) are always good.

 

And that's the beauty of making mods: You can make the game into exactly what YOU like, not what the developers intended. There is no "right way" to implement stuff, everybody can do what want. (Unless you want to do stuff with the user interface, don't get me started about the "un-moddability" of that ...)

 

Anyway, this is getting off-topic, sorry ...
