Dumbest Modding Moment?

What's the dumbest thing you've ever done or overlooked while putting together a mod? Mine happened today

- Fire up game

- Notice instability, crashes

- Assume it must be a mod I activated recently, deactivate a couple newer mods

- It keeps happening

- Check through what I have activated, to see which of those might have a script causing the crash

- Realize I deactivated Random Encounters, but it's still part of my Merge Patch

Yeah, I just spent hours pouring over my entire mod list to fix a MISSING MASTER crash

I feel dumb.

I feel doubly dumb because now I have to rebuild my merge patch and that takes a long time.

WELP! I did it again. Was having random crashes, so I disabled EVERYTHING to try the base game and it was still happening.

So I reinstalled, losing my fantastic data folder and custom merge patches and boatloads of content [although at least I kept all the .zips]

Everything's working fine, but I've got that fullscreen sound lag bug again, so I grab the fix for it.

IMMEDIATELY, the game starts crashing the way it did before.

It turns out my GPU doesn't support the shader settings that fix uses in its ENB settings, and it was the problem the whole time. It might even have been responsible for the previous crash!

Latest, was setting up a very simple test package for a nightstalker follower (I wanted to see the retexture I had done played out in-game). I stupidly forgot to set the aggro radius. She wiped out all of Goodsprings (including AWOP npcs) in minutes. She was aided in her crime by two cats, and a puppy. Their murderous rampage continued past Frankie's Ammo, and they were last seen heading to Jean's Sky Diving. Ughh... I don't know how many times poor Hewie and Max were knocked out.
