I've been looking through all the fallout BSA files searching for the data needed. I'm having no luck, at all. I want to make decaped heads into items, one- to put in the inventory, second- to put on display in my homes. The only success I've had is to make a "head item" that can be spawned, then placed where ever. I hope you see my problem. I have all the tools needed and the know how. I just need the data.

I dont quite understand your problem, what exactly do you need?

For the head meshes, there are entries in the mehes.bsa under meshes/character/head i think, dont know if it helps though

So your trying to make a head gib into an Item you can pick up. Well you can copy a form of an item that already exists, change the weight, the texture and mesh and make it player only and place it in a cell. Hope it helps.

I mean When I kill a NPC, lets say a random raider. And they get decaped in the fight, I want to pick up that head, put the head in my inventory and take it back to my crib and display it. And it stay there. I can already make an "item head" to display, but I want NPC "victims" heads, ie; raiders, deathclaws, gouls, wanders, etc.

Well, you could edit the form for that head and make it an item, it still spawns the prop head, so it HAS to be in the GECK, you just need to find it. Maybe I'll do a bit a snooping.

sadly im guessing this would require a bit of coding. The heads that detach from the meshes are parts of the npc when they get dismembered, i dont think the game allows pieces of npcs to be removed from cells, separate from their body. Sure you could spawn heads in game I suppose, but the mechanic required to allow players to 'take the head' would more than likely take some heavy hardcore scripting and likely cause some problems.

If someone gets it to work though, awesome! I just dont really see this being in the realm of anywhere remotely easy. It looks like a tough one.
