Simple way to remove item flags from a large number of items?

Is there a way to remove item flags with a script? As an avid 3rd person perspective player I prefer scoped weapons (with the exception of actual sniper rifles) to not switch to 1st person when aiming. A decade or so ago I created a little mod that manually removed the "Has Scope" flag from a number of scoped weapons added by other mods. Recently I've reinstalled FO3 including WMK and 20th Century Weapons, and that is a lot of weapons to go through manually. So I'd like to create a script that removes the "Has Scope" flag for all weapons that are 1-handed or automatic. Is there a simple way to do this?

I guarentee it is easier to just go through the list and uncheck it.

Update your mod as you become aware of other mods.
