Mouse/keyboard fail.

i got the same problem and its preventing me from playing the game, i think theres mods conflicting but im not sure which ones but if my theory is right it should be one of these files (we both have them so thats how i assume they are the problem):

 

(except the freeplay after story)

im gonna keep on studying and i appreciate any help given and this might be the bug spray everyones looking for

 

edit, i disabled all the mods and it didnt do the trick so if its not the mods, then what is it?

I've got this problem too. It just started today (I've been playing fallout for a month on PC). I didn't install any different mods or anything. The one thing I have done differently on my pc is install and mod Oblivion. I don't know if this is somehow related (I don't see how it could be). Anyone know anything about this?

Mine is similar just that I can still use the mouse but not the keyboard from the very game start (can't skip past intro screens, can't navigate through the main menu with they keyboard, can't set up my controls etc.). Works for the GFWL interface but the moment I close it the keyboard stops responding. I can alt+tab out of the game, windows picks up the key presses (even Fraps and other background software). I don't get the issue with the normal game but the moment I update to any patch, including 1.0.0.15, it kicks in making the game unplayable. Now this wouldn't be an issue but I don't know if an unpatched game will work very well with the DLCs and more complex mods. And the worst is that FOSE doesn't support an unpatched game (correct me if I'm wrong) :(

I sometimes have that problem too, it ONLY appears IF I do something random other on my PC than just start my PC and launch FO3.. I have only had this problem when surfing the internet and watching online media files or something... So I guess its related to that, this problem sometimes appears to me like 5 minutes after FO3 has been launched, then I just restart my PC and no problems..

FOSE includes support for 1.0.0.15. In fact, that's version I'm using right now (after getting sick of 1.5 bugs).

I get the bug the moment I patch it and

FOSE is not compatible with the original, unpatched DVD or Steam version. Either version patched to 1.0.0.15 or 1.4.0.6 will work.

Nope, no luck... installed the patch got the same error even after a system restart without opening any browsers etc.

 

Also, I get an error during update (with a message similar to "old file not found, another file with the same name has been found so no modifications have been made" or something like that). It's the launcher or the file that gets updated after the launcher; looking at the modification dates on the files neither the launcher nor the main fallout ESM got modified (still dated 2008). It might be because of this error but every time I patched I got it :(

Ok, got it working with patch 1.5... First I updated to 1.0.0.15, tested it out and saw it didn't worked. Then I looked at the modifications dates as explained above. Then I tried reinstalling the 1.0.0.15 patch (without a game reinstall) over it and got the same errors. Keyboard didn't work ingame either. Then I updated to 1.5 and it works now :)
