GunnerofLife
I'm able to load Oblivion now, but the original problem still persists.
Legotrash
Wrye Bash has some save-repairing functions. In case you don't have Wrye, there's also a very simple application called OBSAF which also can repair save files (I can't remember if I downloaded it from the address I gave you but it should be clean). Other than that, turn off the autosave function.

Legotrash
Right-click on one of the corrupted savefiles. You'll see two options,"Remove bloat" and "Repair Abomb". Just by clicking one of them you'll only get a report and then you'll be asked if you want to repair the file. I suggest before doing anything to just post here the reports. Better safe than sorry. This might repair my already broken save game, but will it prevent future corrupt save games? If not, then this is worthless. GunnerofLife
I'm pretty sure it's one of my mods that are causing this problem. Thanks for your help, but I think I'll just wait for talvern. Thanks again.

GunnerofLife
After playing around a bit, I noticed that it only crashes AFTER I complete Whodunit, the Dark Brotherhood mission. During the mission, I can save fine.
