SKKmods
The teams thing reminds me of an old project manager joke (with R&D applications): "no matter how many women you throw at the line item, it still takes 9 months to make a baby." ps synths need not apply. Blinxys
Hey check this out (Skyrim-esc):Castle of the Sun By: Galejro(Check out his other stuff, very capable, seems to lose interest before the final flourishes/details though). Sometimes I think I want to make mods, sometimes I think I just haven't found the right mods.(Truth is it's somewhere in between).Just tweak and merge until anything that is left to be done I should know how to do. Yeah, build up to it. (There is a reason computer stuff is modular).

Yeah, build up to it. (There is a reason computer stuff is modular).Wow, that mod you linked looks awsome!I will have to take a closer look at it ... Do you mean you haven't found the right mods to make or the right mods to "just use"?If you mean "the right mods to just use", yeah, just waiting for awsome mods to come out it always an option ... But I once heard "if you want it to be done properly, do it yourself". "There is a reason computer stuff is modular" Sometimes, the hard part is to figure out the "line" between the modules or how a custom concept can be divided in such modules. I work for a company that produces electrical test equipment.Nearly all of our products are made using different "modules". That makes it easier for production, testing and especially for repair. So I know the advantages / disadvantages of "modular designs".
femshepping
I usually make a post on here, get vague answers that do not help, give up, move mod to my WIP folder (aka The Graveyard), and never touch it again. Lol. All jokes aside, modding can be so frustrating in that regard. It is a lot of trial and error (mostly error!) :(

Lol. All jokes aside, modding can be so frustrating in that regard. It is a lot of trial and error (mostly error!) :sad:Yes, it is like that for me too ...I can't think of one thing that I "actually finished" in the last few years (modding or otherwise). Like you said, it all goes to a folder somewhere and years later you stumble upon it and think "What was I even trying to do here? And why?". Not really the most "rewarding" hobby, like I said in this topic: I just feel like the CreationKit is like a "sandbox enclosed with concrete walls".Inside the "sandbox", things are really easy and nice to implement (custom quests, meshes, ...), but once you want to do things "outside of the (sand-) box" it becomes almost impossible. Blinxys
There are some 20-30 thousands mods for Fallout 4 on the Nexus alone!Haven't found the right mod is just what I said, one that does what I want, how I want it done.Thinking of FO4 as a sandbox in itself, not going to waste time making a mod when one is already 90% of what I would like the game to do.I will use it, test it for strengths, weaknesses, while I work up the skill, know-how and insight to improve it for that final 10%.There is always a chance I will change my mind when the time comes. The modular line is between what you know how to do, and what you don't know how to do yet.Better a fully functional stupid little puny mod, than a complex one one that doesn't work right.Look at how many mods only do one small thing that can amount to a lot.You can always add to it or expand once you figure out more. Better yet, and the presumed virtue and benefit of my method, make many small mods, and them join them when they are ready. That is why I'm starting with selection and merging existing, so I know the parts well before going all MacGyver on that schnitz. OaR and Depravity iDLCs gave me a good idea of what can be done just putting many smaller discrete mods/components together- if you know how and have enough bailing wire and duct tape.
