LargeStyle
I've recently made a topic in the Nexus Forums Technical Support section (Camera automatically going into 3rd person) which as the title states, I'm having an issue with the camera automatically switching to 3rd person. I literally can't play Skyrim first person for more than a few seconds at a time, and seeing as my level 49 character has become unusable I'm somewhat hacked off as we're currently 7 hours away from Dragonborn arriving. I just wondered if anyones had this problem too recently, be it through normal game use or some affect from modding the game. Any help will be seriously appreciated. Deleted1308005User
I just went off the Helgen tutorial with my current character. Dragonborn 7 hours away. And I'd want to kill Alduin before venturing into Solstheim  +I am not even sure what race I really want to play. Anyway! Your problem.Have you tried deleting .ini? Because it sounds somewhat that there might be issue. Also, what mods you are using?
LargeStyle
I've solved it (somehow)... I was having constant CTDs when attempting to visit an Imperial camp which I needed to do for a particular mission, plus I also wanted a relatively unmodded Skyrim game so that I could experience Dragonborn in it's "natural" way - so I decided to uninstall a few non-essential mods which were mainly texture mods. Although I swear blind that yesterday I restored any removed mods and my camera problem still persisted, I've just restored them all back again today - now I can load a save from 2 days ago and the camera stays in first person!!!!! However load a save from yesterday and the camera problem is there again, so I'll obviously ditch those saves. Thanks for your input anyway. I'm so relieved now as I thought I'd be entering Solstheim as a level 5 character or something! Heard that it's advised to be a relatively well ranked-up character to play that DLC so didn't want to miss out. Approximately 5 hours to go!!!!! Steams servers are going to get a damn good hammering soon  Edited February 5, 2013 by LargeStyle
Deleted1308005User
Sucks to be a man like me! 33 is highest level I've ever achieved on my playthroughs. Also, nice to hear I am not the only one who wanted to have somewhat "Clean" experience of the said DLC  As I just yesterday started to clean mod list, did basically "clean" install of the game. (uninstalled mods, emptied scripts that were left) Removed about 20 gigs of unnecessary meshes and textures :whistling: And then I followed STEP to get slightly better visuals. Aaand then I did "STEP" of my own. Put together all texture - mesh - sound replacers I found better than vanilla and packed in one .rar file (For easy installation - uninstallation)As I've learned a bit from my skills of handling Skyrim's folders. I clutter them up in no time.So it's just easy to do "cleaning" every now and then. However, today I struggled with some mods that went funky. Apparently it's not wise to clean Skyrim.esm, Update.esm, Dawnguard.esm and so on :whistling: At least I started to have problems. Anyhow, nice to hear you were able to solve your problem! And sorry for horribly long unrelated ranting...
LargeStyle
Also, nice to hear I am not the only one who wanted to have somewhat "Clean" experience of the said DLC Yes, gameplay is always more important than modding, and I can't wait to see what (if any) improvements Bethesda themselves have made to the game. I clutter them up in no time.So it's just easy to do "cleaning" every now and thenAlso yes, it gets messy quickly and easily, although I've never had 20 gigs of stuff in there! Currently have every mods that use "loose" textures and meshes installed and is 1.1 gig - the rest are archived into .BSA files  And sorry for horribly long unrelated ranting...Apology not required! Just get your game ready for Dragonborns arrival
