scoobnut
I have a clean install of Skyrim SE with the latest SKSE64 but I'm getting these errors.1 is from Vortex, 2 - 3 are from Skyrim when I tried running the game through steam. If I run the game through Vortex I get a crash when using ... Racemenu - Head - face part - 5. I'm going through my mods but not really sure what I'm looking for, is it a Racemenu issue or SKSE64 or something else. Removing mods is a nightmare as some require other mods which means trying to track the culprit is confusing. It also says something about a manual install but what manual install? I've included my the errors and my load order in attached files. Papyrus is active but I can make no sense of the logs, to me it looks as if the game is a complete mess. If anyone can help, thank you.
IsharaMeradin
Make sure SKSE64 is installed properly with each of its files in the correct location. I would go so far as to suggest installing SKSE64 manually.
scoobnut
HI, I installed manually several times but did it again just in case. Didn't work, still getting errors.Thank you for your help.
Algabar
Are you sure you installed SKSE64 for Special Edition? Looks like something that can happen if you accidentally install the LE version of SKSE.
scoobnut
Its SKSE64. I removed then reinstalled both manually and through Vortex but made no difference.
Gorsha
SKSE64 is updated lately without an update from Skyrim SE. If you have the latest update (2.0.19 runtime 1.5.97) it is possible that your .dll plugins are not up to date for this version. Two things are possible 1) Update your pluggins. 2) You can go to the archive builds page of the SKSE, accessible ont the official page, to find a previous version of SKSE64. It might help. anjenthedog
For clarity's sake, Gorska is (afaik) alluding to SKSE64 2.0.17, since that's the version that we were using until recently (and some of us are still using)

Algabar
Its SKSE64. I removed then reinstalled both manually and through Vortex but made no difference.Maybe there's a misunderstanding here. You CANNOT install SKSE through Vortex. It has to be done manually. After you downloaded SKSE, unzip the folder. Then copy the whole archive into your .../Skyrim SE folder. NOT ...Skyrim SE/data! skse64_loader.exe must be in the same folder as your regular skyrim.exe. OFC you also have to start the game with "skse64_loader.exe". If you installed previous versions of SKSE, also check your .../Skyrim SE data folder. There should be a file named "skse64_1_5_97.dll". The numbers indicate the version of the base game. Current game version is 1.5.97. Check if you have other similar files of that kind, e.g. something like "skse64_1_4_73.dll". If you have files like this, remove all files of this type except "skse64_1_5_97.dll". These are for older versions of the game and will prevent SKSE from starting. pyromarshall
you most certainly can install SKSE through vortex now have three different times and it worked fine but failed this time apparently due to files missing from the zip version 2.0.19 runtime 1.5.
