So as everyone suggested i do i uninstalled the game and reinstalled it after deleting the directory for skyrim SE i also went as far as to delete the my documents skyrim SE directory (inis and saves). i then started a new unmodded save. Guess whos ugly forehead still clips through his hood. if you guessed wulfgar than you would be right.... i spawned him in the moment your hands get unbound and his dumb hood was still bugged like that from mid distance. once again fresh game with absolutely no traces of my old work left behind and absolutely no mods and ran from the skyrim se launcher. and yes ive verified my game files. my computer runs this game on ultra with a constant 60 fps so i know my computer is up to spec.

it also appears to have his forehead clipped through his hood in creation engine aswell

it doesnt do this crap on the xbox port so why is this happening here? also is this now outside the bounds of this forum since no mods are involved now?

i'm totally stumped

removed the hoods on the greybeards for now with creation kit since it seems to be the hood thats bugged. if someone could make a mod that fixes this issue since its now verified as a base game problem i would be most estaticed.

I don't know when I will muster the time, but I'm leaving this open in the hope that it reminds me to make a detour and have a look for myself. I don't have anything that alters High Hrothgar, so I should see what you see if it's a vanilla issue. Then I can poke around in SSEEdit and files if warranted. I have no idea what I'm doing, but sometimes the solutions assault me from the shadows of my darkened man-wife cave.
