Echoside
Has anybody checked if the ini archive tweak still works? It should when you finish downloading.. Might have to add the HighResTexturePack3.bsa to it though.
Deleted3897072User
Thanks for the link, Echoside. That explains a lot. So, a 4.7 GB download if I already had the HiRes pack ? And then they say "Before you download, make sure your PC has the horsepower to support it." But Steam didn't ask me if I wanted it, it just started the download anyway. That's downright rude.
EcthelionOtW
@Echo Sure ;). I just wondered since I've read a couple of times that this won't work anymore.
Echoside
@OldMansBeard I think they fixed some of the problems in the first two packs on top of adding the third one which is why it's so big. And steam auto updates so if you had the first Texture Pack it went to update, which I agree is kinda rude not everyone can just download a few gigs whenever they want... Especially when you can't play the game without a work around like using the SKSE loader. @EcthelionOtW I can't imagine why it wouldn't. They just updated the esp and added a new one. And your both welcome, glad I could help.
Georgiegril
If you play with Steam offline, you will avoid getting the patch entirely until you decide to go online to get it.
Deleted3897072User
Actually, when it said in the BethBlog to expect an extra 4.7GB if you already had the DLC, that wasn't true. It was only about 1.5GB. So it was only one-third of a facepalm. What the patch seems to have done is to re-organise the original content, spread it out over three packs instead of two, and add stuff for DLC01 and DLC02 to Packs 02 and 03. Roughly like this:vanilla armor, weapons and clothesvanilla architecture, furniture and clutter plus some of DLC01vanilla actors plus the remainder of DLC01 plus all of DLC02 That's quite different to the organisation of the original Pack01 and Pack02. Deleted1308005User
First time when thread of mine doesn't die right away  Even though it was merely a simple question. Anyhow: .ini tweak works.(Or well, can't say for sure, but dawnguard hammers and armors were a bit better when I saw 'em on some guys) And I am kinda happy that they actually "fixed" textures of Dawnguard. Dawnguard had some horrible textures.
Gamer1986
Hey guys...Do you think that this new update will break mods we have installed for the 1.8????I'm asking cause of this: What the patch seems to have done is to re-organize the original content, spread it out over three packs instead of two, and add stuff for DLC01 and DLC02 to Packs 02 and 03. Roughly like this: 1) vanilla armor, weapons and clothes 2)vanilla architecture, furniture and clutter plus some of DLC01 3)vanilla actors plus the remainder of DLC01 plus all of DLC02 (quoting OldMansBeard) Thanks... It's only changing the content of the HighResTexturePack01/02 BSA and ESP file and adding a HighResTexturePack03 BSA and ESP. This will change NOTHING in your folders or any of your mods unless you activate them. Bethesda simply added High Res textures for it's released DLC and probably fixed the bugs from the first ones such as purple logs and so on. I wouldn't even call this a patch it more like a re-releasing of High Res Texture Pack with more content and different organization. If you used the texture packs before this should not hurt your game at all as they have the same ESP/BSA file name and the same content plus extra.
