reaper9111
I'm having the VERY same problem, the only exeption for me is that just after spawing at the dock, i'm getting an error message in a window Saying something like this: WETriggerScript, "MyHoldFaction" return -1, expected 1 or 2...Basicly it's what the messages show... Everything else is as you mention it... no boat, stuck frozen, no scene...Let's keep hoping these new information can track down a real solution ! ThanksReaper
designedtoexpire
I tried the workaround after enabling player controls. I didn't do the TCL, I just moved and then jumped onto the pier at the start. All the DLC creatures are not moving correctly, after they die, they also just float there, still breathing and fidgeting. My map markers also do not work. I can't mine, I also cant use the float function. I'm not sure of how to fix this. Thanks so much for the help so far, I've been able to mess around with it a bit. TheAtomicCafe
The only issue I've come across so far is that my player is unable to learn the new dragon shouts...kind of a buzz-kill....I'm guessing that this is a symptom of skipping ahead of the quests.....still going to keep seeing if there's a real solution. TheAtomicCafe
Also on a distantly related topic, since the boat isn't there, I guess going back to Skyrim is not going to happen.Unless I coc Whiterun....or some other location.
likeitsillegal
I am also having this problem. Black screen, nothing but seagull sounds and boat sounds. Tried with two different characters and no luck - very frustrating.
TheAtomicCafe
As a curiosity, I installed Skyrim on a different computer. Downloaded all of the DLC's, tried a NEW GAME with a NEW CHARACTER...NO MODS OR TWEAKS.....and this issue is still there.....this is frustrating..... TheAtomicCafe
Been speaking with a level designer friend of mine at Bethesda....they weren't aware of the issue....until now at least. He tells me that it is more or less a scripting issue but he's not the one who set up the specific scene of Landing in Raven Rock....I guess he'll talk to the guy who set up that scene on Monday.....if anyone can find anymore info on this bug, please post it here! likeitsillegal
In the mean time, I think I found a workaround. Once you have the objective to travel to Solstheim, put player.moveto xx018281 into console, with the xx being the number your Dragonborn is in your load order. You'll be teleported to the docks of Solstheim. Go through the dialog with the Dunmer at the docks, and then run back to the boat and talk to the boat captain. Asking him about being a Captain also cleared up my objective to "Travel to Solstheim". I missed the opening scene, but it's a compromise for now. Is this before or after you already arrive in Raven Rock? Or before you even talk to the captain in Windhelm? Also, I thought that we needed to use a 'coc' command to teleport? likeitsillegal
coc is for the actual name of the location. Like, "coc Whiterun". I was unable to even get to Raven Rock, but using the code before travelling (on the boat with the captain, but before travelling) got me to the Raven Rock dock. I haven't played very far yet, but it seems to work okay - only complaint though is that I crashed when attempting to access one shop keeper's inventory (but at that point I had accessed about 4 other shop inventories IN Raven Rock, so likely just a random crash).
