NoNameFoundDE
Hi there, I'm using Vortex version 1.2.20 (release 7/27/2020) on a Windows 10 Home Edition 2004 System (i7 10750H, GTX 2080 Super, 32GB Ram). I'm trying to install the Skyrim Script Extender Version 2.0.19 by dragging it into the Extensions blade as per the tutorial video. However, when dragging it into the blade, Vortex throws the following error: Invalid Extension<Path to .7z file> DetailsDataInvalid: Doesn't seem to contain a correctly packaged extension, theme or translation at <Path to Vortex>\resources\app.asar\renderer.js:2241:515 at tryCatcher (<Path to Vortex>\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\util.js:16:23) at Promise._settlePromiseFromHandler (<Path to Vortex>\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\promise.js:547:31) at Promise._settlePromise (<Path to Vortex>\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\promise.js:604:18) at Promise._settlePromise0 (<Path to Vortex>\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\promise.js:649:10) at Promise._settlePromises (<Path to Vortex>\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\promise.js:729:18) at Promise._fulfill (<Path to Vortex>\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\promise.js:673:18) at Promise._resolveCallback (<Path to Vortex>\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\promise.js:466:57) at Promise._settlePromiseFromHandler (<Path to Vortex>\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\promise.js:559:17) at Promise._settlePromise (<Path to Vortex>\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\promise.js:604:18) at Promise._settlePromise0 (<Path to Vortex>\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\promise.js:649:10) at Promise._settlePromises (<Path to Vortex>\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\promise.js:725:18) at _drainQueueStep (<Path to Vortex>\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\async.js:93:12) at _drainQueue (<Path to Vortex>\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\async.js:86:9) at Async._drainQueues (<Path to Vortex>\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\async.js:102:5) at Async.drainQueues (<Path to Vortex>\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\async.js:15:14) The Script Extender Installer is present and enabled. I've added Skyrim SE and properly configured Vortex, puttung the download, mod and game folder on the same drive. I also tried the same procedure with SKSE64 Version 2.0.17, which I still had on my drive, but I get the same error in Vortex with that version. Am I missing something or is this feature broken? AugustaCalidia
As Gopher's video tutorial shows, you drag the script extender archive into the Drop File(s) box at the bottom of the Mods Page, not the Extensions Page. The script extender archive contains a mod, not a Vortex extension.
rmm200
Trying to anticipate the next problem you may have, make sure you have a dashboard shortcut set up for SKSE.Edit the shortcut and verify the path points to the game directory. And click the "Primary" button. That way, when you launch Skyrim, it will use the SKSE launcher.Final bit of advice. Don't add 100 mods and come back asking why it does not work. Start slow, making sure everything works before adding more.
NoNameFoundDE
Well, this is embarrassing... seems I have a severe case of PEBKAC - sorry for that. And thanks for not ripping me apart for being a blind idiot.
