This doesn't make any sense

I'm guessing you're using Adrenaline Oblivion,right? The one that adds "herds" of creatures and enemies?

 

I tried that once, when I first started using mods. I, at the time, was working on my sneak ability. I was in a dungeon packed full of creatures, mostly minotaurs. It was flat out boring as so many of them didn't do jack squat, they didn't notice while most of their herd were being systematically killed, they just....stood there. As I "thinned the herd", the last ones suddenly came to life and started fighting back, of course, still losing me if I went to a corner and stood there in sneak. By the time the battle was over the floor wasn't visible at all from all the carcasses. It left me with zero feeling of accomplishment. I felt more like a mass murderer.

 

Fair X2 spawns might be a better choice for you if you must have extra creatures around. Another thing that makes it more exciting in the scenario I mentioned above is if you use "Duke Patricks Fresh Kills alert the NPC's" mod.
