Your game is freezing because either it has scripts running in the background that are bogging down the game or/and as you mentioned the save-game bloat - forcing your computer to look for stuff that isn't there anymore. I've read about how many issues people had with Dragonborn - yet I run 227 mods (!) and I haven't encountered a single bug in Dragonborn yet. Setting up mods is a delicate matter :smile: You need common sense in regards to what conflicts can occur, what mods aren't compatible in general and how to manage your mod-list. Use unofficial patches, clean all your mods with TESVEdit, use skyproc patches/wrye bash to merge leveling-lists etc. I'm sorry to hear about your level 70 wood elf - hopefully you'll take a break, and start on a new character and adventure - since Skyrim can be enjoyed in so many different ways! (especially with a ton of mods ;D ) Sincerely Sadly my friend no game has any replayability for me can't recall many games I returned back and had a second playthrough maybe a few so I won't abandon my wood elf we've benn through a lot :D I clean all my mods with tes5edit but never wyre bash maybe will learn a bit about it and try sometime and skyproc patches I hear for the first time actually I'll check that thing too thanks for the advices. Weird thing, as I said before I disabled all mods but that didn't solve my freezes but today I just felt like removing some mods that seemed obsolete to me so removed several armor mods and not even very high res textured ones but I also wanted to try and remove battle fatigue and skybirds mods and a miracle happened. My GPU tems are the same between 85-95C but I started to get over 60 FPS and freezes and so far the freezes are gone. The periodic couple of secs freezes stay but the game crashing freeze is gone which makes the game playeble I guess the other periodic freeze is the result of bloated saves maybe. I use Skyproc patcher personally, using the SUM java-app - run stuff like Automatic Variants and ASIS - and it patches all plugins like Wrye. The skybirds mod is pretty script-intensive as far as I know - so it's no suprise you can notice the difference :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
seth2012 Posted February 15, 2013 Author Share Posted February 15, 2013 Well I used Wrye Bash but didn't notice it making a big difference to be honest still to try Skyproc though. Still I have some bugs but not extreme game breakers. Sometimes when I kill a dragon I absorb the souls ages later. I keep n playing and 10-20 mins later out of nowhere I absorb the soul of a dragon I killed aroun Markath when I am already in Riften for example. The most annoying one is sometimes when I walk by people a conversation is automatically triggered and my character turn to them with dialogue options opened once it happened with 10 or so imperial soldiers around and every imperial soldier triggered a dialogue, I left one and the other started so I had to kill them all and usually when I load a game the drawn weapon in my hand disappears but will sort those out in time too I guess. GrndZero Posted February 15, 2013 Share Posted February 15, 2013 the only issue i have ATM is useing the energy beam it doesn't work, "have to noclip up/down" even the NPC has problems with it... I'm guessing its an animemation bug but any help would be nice =)This is the only problem I have with the new DLC. I dont have any other problems to speak of. To be honest since I am not a programing expert, just unchecking the mod from the plugin list, does this really remove all aspects of the mod? There are still files present in the Data directory.
