  1. 1. What ENB would you rather use?

    • Bleak ENB
    • Unbleak ENB
    • Project ENB + CoT
    • Other.
    • I don't have a favorite / I don't use ENB's

As cool as EnB is I really do not like it at all. I find that every single preset has some issue, be it way to strong HDR, stupid high DoF, weird transparency issues, or whatnot. I would recommend RCRN which although not based on EnB (it is based in FXAA PPI) it has many of the same features including some custom shaders. The RCRN team is quite knowledgeable on photographic techniques and color grading and they have aimed for a look that closely matches the real world and not a JJ Abrams movie. RCRN does both summer days and storms well which is something I have not seen anywhere else.

Oh don't pay too much attention to the RCRN team's suggested ini tweaks, essentially anything that is not accessible from the default launcher is untested and will probably break something or more likely run very slow. That said you do need float point render targets.

Phinix Natural ENB is my ENB of choice. It has all the the ENB features I want and none of the ones that I don't. I hate losing detail for cinematic effect, but I love ENB's graphical enhancements, and this one seems to strike a perfect balance for my tastes. It's also still being constantly updated, and looks amazing with both CoT and RLO (a must for me). It's not the perfect ENB for taking dramatic screenshots, but in my opinion it looks the absolute best during gameplay.

thanks for the tip. i will check it out. was trying the Bleak ENB but it seems the DoF wont focus in on close targets when I turn it on. they just remain blurry.

With RCRN can I also choose to have darker colours, I kind of like that in a world that is on the brink of death lol.
