BigBizkit
It does look like you're using Vortex 1.3.4 from your download history, but can you please verify that? (Click the three dots in the top right corner, then "About") To help, we'll need the dump file to analyse the issue. Can you please upload it to e.g. Google Drive, Filebin, or similar? Thanks

Tannin42
We had a similar report recently, unfortunately the user wasn't able to provide enough information to find it, maybe you can. First of all: Why can't you upload the dmp file? If it's not 0 byte it could be seriously very very useful. If you can send it via email or upload it to dropbox, anything really would be great. Beyond that: From the previous report it seemed like this affected only the bethesda games and since it's a native crash it seems very likely that it's connected to one of the following extensions bundled with Vortex:gamebryo-ba2-support, gamebryo-bsa-support, gamebryo-plugin-management or gamebryo-savegame-management You can find these in c:\program files\black tree gaming ltd\vortex\app.asar.unpacked\bundledPlugins (if you used the custom installer then the vortex directory is wherever you put it, the rest is the same). Please try moving these directories somewhere else (e.g. the desktop) one by one and restart Vortex each time, until it starts again (Vortex will complain that its install was corrupted, ignore that). If it does start, please let us know which of the extensions you moved last.

ClaymoreRaki
Gamebryo savegame management's deffo's it. Taking it out fixes it, putting it in breaks it. Edited September 9, 2020 by ClaymoreRaki
Tannin42
Great stuff, that already helps us a lot. So as a workaround I guess you can just leave the plugin out for the time being, it's not like the savegame screen is essential functionality. Have you been running Vortex for a while and has this only started recently? Do you have a recent savegame that you can't load ingame? If so, could you send me that? If not, would you mind just sending me the last few (two or three) of your savegames?
ClaymoreRaki
The save files are all fine since I installed Safety Load. The crashing only started since my last Vortex install said something about updating. Thanks for the help!. Solution Tannin42 Posted September 9, 2020 Solution Share Posted September 9, 2020 I think I know what it is. Is it possible you have a savegame where the filename consists only of numbers? When you usually save a game in Skyrim Special Edition for example it will have a generated name like this:Save1_24E584BB_1_436C61697265_Tamriel_000927_20171003164013_11_1.essbut via the console - or probably through a mod - you could produce save games called something like "1.ess". With that I can reproduce the issue.
ClaymoreRaki
Really! I always keep saves numbered 1-9 as backups. Funny.
