persist3nce
((Sorry for double-post from the "Are you having CTDs" thread in Skyrim tech support, I just really love this game and am really frustrated) So, I'm getting random CTDs. With all my mods installed, it's everytime I fast travel. With just Tamriel and the unofficial patches+expansions it CTDs when I wait sometimes. Please help. I noticed most of the shenanigans began after I added Guards On Your Home, didn't help when I uninstalled it.Papyrus and BOSS read-out at bottom. Please help, I will probably end up quitting this game for a few months if a clean re-install/new saves is the only fix. persist3nce
Forum ate my post. Short version:Whats fFastTravelSpeedMult_4.esp?Put the unof. patches higher in load.Thin out the mods which do similar things (snow, flora, whiterun) I'm positive Whiterun stuff is not the issue, the game was running fine for awhile with it all on, I've had the snow/flora/water/etc. disabled for some time and I just keep getting these CTDs, If I replace all the game files or do a clean re-install, are my saves unusable? I'm seriously going to ragequit Skyrim for a couple months if so, would Wyre Bash be advisable when I decide to return? P.S. The mod you're asking about is the Fast-Travel Time Scale fix. The mod you're asking about is the Fast-Travel Time Scale fix.Warzones can cause crashing. You also have a lot of intense texture/mesh mods that may be killing your VRAM depending on your video card. I'm also not sure if that's your load order or just a list of your mods, but they are not ordered correctly. But right off, if you're having trouble with fast travel only, you should look at any mods that affect fast travel — uninstall your fast travel time fix and try your save without it. If it still crashes, try a brand new game without the mod installed and attempt to fast travel there. If it still crashes, then that mod is not the culprit. Try doing the same with warzones next, then look seriously at your graphics improvement mods and see if you are overtaxing your system.
rphil477
You need to clean your master files, they can cause problems
Chillwill
[ (02009B00)].fxDustDropRandomSCRIPT.OnLoad() - is most likely the cause of your crash. You need http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/732051-fxdustdroprandomscript-errors-fixed/. Also you should get the dunbluepalacearena fix http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/737061-dunbluepalacearenascript-errors-fixed/. They are both vanilla scripts that will haunt you forever once they trigger unless you use those fixes. Read both threads carefully and follow instructions. Also just know that bad scripts will stay in your savegame even if you uninstall the mods that introduce them, so only way to fix a game thats broken by a mod script is reverting to an old save. fiewiel
Actually the fxDustDropRandomSCRIPT.OnLoad entry is only annoying but not the cause of crashes. It eats performance and spams the papyrus log.Better Vampires, wet and cold, predator vision are the big spammers in my papyrus.log. Thx for the links, going to install them right away. More importantly I PM'ed you with some questions regarding load order/safe mod addition/removal, I'd love some feedback. Added these, thanks a lot! I ended up doing a completely fresh re-install because I suspect some of my more dubious mods damaged core files, but hopefully this will pre-emptively avoid issues. Chillwill
Well i wont swear that the fxdust alone causes crashes but the dunbluepalacearena does. I had both when i encountered them though and those fixes fixed it.
