RandianHero
Man, the Fallout Bible is like the real Bible with its inconsistencies. Silly fanboys.
Monolithic0117
Ghouls are sterile, and their isn't enough radiation left to produce more, therfore ALL ghouls, including feral ones, are pre-war. Quite wrong.Ghouls are produced through a combination of the airborne FEV and radiation which can still occur after 200 years, along with the ghouls of Vault 12 and ghouls who aren't really ghouls like Harold who are actually a form of advanced Super Mutant (I say advanced due to Harold being closer to a stage the Master went through before becoming that weird hyper intelligent.. blob.. thing). True, true. I produced an example the second I read this post (Not considering later posts): Moira from Craterside Supplies, if you nuke Megaton. TheOutlander
There are no more FEV Enclave deathClaws left only pre Enclave Deathclaws are left. (Fallout 2 ending) and Centaurs and the oddly missing awesome creature known as a "Floater" is because "The Master" put random animals together and found out what came out after that. So? Something had to mutate Deathclaws before the Enclave's experiments.Deathclaws were made through genetic engineering not FEV, they aren't mutants they are designed super predators. Deathclaws being genetically engineered come from non-canon sources and is (apart from the Enclave's post-war tinkering) not supported in any canon Fallout game.So THIS is wrong then? Take a look at the source the wiki cites for that particular fact. ↑ 1.0 1.1 Deathclaws being genetically engineered before the War and later refined by the Master is mentioned only in the Fallout 2 Official Strategies & Secrets strategy guide, written by Fallout 2 lead designer, Matt Norton, as well as in Fallout Tactics. It is unknown why the Master would genetically manipulate the Deathclaws and then not use them at all for his purposes. Always take wiki articles with a large Siberian salt mine. 3rdtryguy
I'm glad you guys know all this stuff, as I'm new to the Fallout universe.Deathclaws confuse me. They don't seem to have evolved or mutated from anything else, since there is nothing like them today, unlike the flies & scorpions & molerats and such. So, then, deathclaws were deliberately made that way from scratch, presumably as some sort of superweapon, but have now run amok?Okay.. finally they make sense to me. Thanks! Any thoughts as to whether or not Prez Eden is the mysterious "Talking Box" that told the supermutants where to look for more FEV in various places in DC? It seems to me that he would want to build up the supermutant problem a bit so his forces would look more heroic by sweeping in and solving it. He's apparently into grabbing manufactured glory when he can, the seizure of project purity & the propaganda radio claim that it was the result of Enclave science being a good example. furtim
FEV did it. All of it. Yes, even that.
GreyViper
Well we know there was one case of genetically engineered super predators, the Wamingos. Not that they turned out to be a much of a super predators, but still there is one precedent.
