scottmack
So I've got a Spirometry test in a few days to find out whether or not my childhood asthma was a misdiagnosis or not, Over the years as a child I played my "asthma" up on one or two occasions even though I'd never had any symptoms from it to get time off school :wallbash: Now im 19 and wanting to join the army and its come back to bite me in the arse :psyduck: So anybody had one of these tests before? Im pretty confident I dont have asthma and it was a misdiagnosis due to my mother being one of those overbearing types  and I've never experienced any of it of the years of sport (Mainly Rugby and Running). But I cant help but be nervous as hell in case I do fail it I can kiss that dream goodbye :psyduck: Edited February 10, 2013 by scottmack
RitualBlack
I have had them done several times (I have pretty bad asthma). You just empty your lung capacity into the device and a graph is made from your results. If you have never needed inhalers there really is nothing to be worried about especially if you do running. Best of luck with your tests  .
scottmack
No I've never needed them or had to stop to use them, I've just had them prescribed to sit in my cupboard at home  I suppose I will know for sure in a few days but its hard not to be nervous about failing it :psyduck:
HeyYou
If you do sports, involving a lot of running..... and don't require an inhaler on a regular basis, or, not at all..... You will pass with flying colors. Wonder why my spell check stopped working......
