Eiade Posted July 11, 2004 Share Posted July 11, 2004 well good point. only +5 unarmored. but in the end, i don't think you're gonna miss boots or a helm. most of the protection comes from the cuirass and greaves. gauntlets help a little too. BTW Elade skill bonuses dont matter because all skills can eventually be maxed out. ok. well i'm talking about the kind of character you will have during most of the good gameplay. ya know, the mid-range levels. pluses do help in levels 1-25 or even 30. but yes, when it comes right down to it, unarmored does suck, but i think it's more fun because it's different. and challenging. i'm stubborn as hell when it comes to my likings w/ unarmored. i don't really care for having an AR of 200. i role-play when i make a character, and if it was my choice, i wouldn't want to carry around even the lightest armors. plus i don't really ever wear helmets (i have this weird thing where i have to see my char's face). anyways, beast races are good in my opinion. i think that if beast races were able to wear boots or closed-face helms, it would take away from the experience of not being human-like. I love my Khajiit thief. :D If you read the Morrowind instruction booklet it says that the boots you wear affect sneaking. If you are a thief you shouldn't wear boots when sneaking around. FlightlessBird Posted July 12, 2004 Share Posted July 12, 2004 My 2 cents: Kajiits wern't made to be out their with Nords and Orcs, hacking a slashing at whatver enemy challenges them. You can still do that, but The fighters of the game will always get the advantage. (this is assuming that u didnt use the TESCS to up your kajiits begining stats <_< ) anyway, if your a theif, Then you must plan on not being attacked right. after all, who would want to fight someone with heavy armour and a claymore with light armour and a shortblade? So why do you need boots if you have stealth? (Kajiits get a bonus for stealth.) The only thing boots are good for is up-ing your armour rateing. Plus, you can always jump away from your enemy (done this many a time) (Kajiits have +15 acrobatics) All i'm saying is, Kajiits can but just as usefull as warriors, but not for the same purposes. Untouchable1 Posted July 12, 2004 Share Posted July 12, 2004 yes well maybe at level 20 but not at level 100 whos gonna play a character to level 100? why would you ever want to do that, so you can brag about how much more of your life you wasted then the rest of us? anyway the races are supposed to support different arts, like Nords and Orcs are to Combat arts, high elfs and breton are to magic and the beast races are to stealth. but its not like one race cant jump into another class. its all a manner of preference. you wouldnt want me to bash bretons because they have absolutely no combat skills or an orc cuz he cant cast spells worth a crap (that is unless they are put in opposing classes). but just think about it, most race ckill bonuses only raise a skill by what 15 max? so when you put a race that was MEANT for stealth, or magic, into a combat class they can do pretty much as good as any race. or really even better cuz now that character has upped stats from two groups. so you can diversify your skills. just look at the numbers. for example: a khajit in warrior class's Long Sword is only maybe 5 or 10 pts under say a Nord warrior, but hes got good mercantile, sneak and acrobatic skills which other classes more suited to immobile fights dont. heh, leave it to me to stand up for the downtrodden. should i add this to my sig? no wait ill just wait for a severely anti-beast maniac to show up then jump him.
