persist3nce
Topic says it all. Do most of the more common mods play nice with Dragonborn (Climates of Tamriel, WATER, Expanded Flora), or am I stuck waiting for their respective creators to update to accommodate? I don't mind waiting, I'd just rather not nuke my entire install. Also, I saw that Bethesda released yet another High Resolution Texture Pack, can I safely install this to a modded Skyrim without the Dragonborn DLC? Thanks in advance guys. TheAtomicCafe
...short answer....No.... BUT! If you delete all of your mods, uninstall All Of Skyrim and then try Dragonborn DLC, then and only then can you reinstall all of your mods....trust me....I've spent the last three days figuring this out... ripple
Most mods will work fine with the new DLC, only a minority of mods need to be updated. The problems are: 1) some of these mods' authors do not know their mods need to be updated, until users report it to them. 2) some of them do not have the DLC. 3) some of them have not logged on to update their mods for a long time and reaching them is difficult. They may no longer play Skyrim. 4) the source script files for Skyrim have not been released yet, so even if they know their mods generate issues with Dragonborn, they may not be able to fix it. If it's a popular mod, you can check the support thread for the mod to see if anyone has reported issues with the Dragonborn DLC.
