A feature request

Can I request a feature which will help a lot is some kind of progress indicator. Let me explain what I mean.

 

Lets say there are a 100 mods in vortex on say Skyrim. I install a couple more and simultaneously uninstall a couple of existing ones.

 

Right now all you get is messages like "Running pre-deployment events" etc. which gives no indication as to how much work it has to do complete the full deployment. I understand its almost impossible to give a percentage complete as vortex depends on calling external tools like FNIS to do its job.

 

What I am requesting is something like "Currently processing step 46 of 187" which gives a nice clue as to where the process is currently. The first number will change as the process completes each step, the second might change if during processing its discovered that more steps are needed.

 

I hope I am not making a very unreasonable request.

Well, I considered it but unfortunately that would currently just show "Currently processing step 1 of 1" or something like that, not actually improving the situation.

From Vortex's perspective there aren't a lot of steps, it's just that some (e.g. FNIS) can take quite long and we receive no feedback while it's happening.
