Never darkfall in Solstheim?

I don't know if maybe one of my mods is conflicting but is there ever dark nights in solstheim? Because even if it's 11pm or more it is still pretty light out. You would think with the volcano erupting constantly the day time would be really dark and the night time would be pure darkness.

It's not one of your mods, it's like that with mine too. I would think that all the volcanic ash would make the southern half of Solstheim dark too, but hey, maybe all the ash is scattering light, making it seem brighter. Not how physics works, but hey, it's a world where I doubt gravity would work if one of the gods took a day off.

Alright good to know thanks, maybe they forgot to fix that or maybe it's intentional. Hopefully it wasn't and they can fix this.

 

Btw, Bethesda if you are reading this it would be fricking awesome to see red mountain erupt lava and see it run down the mountain every once in a while.

The whole Skyrim game is like that. It may be that you have been using some mod that doesn't affect DB now, and you have forgotten how bright the nights are in this game without mods. There is a mod which specifically makes the nights dark for the new DLC. I'm using it, and the difference is huge.

You might be somewhat right, but I do remember skyrim nights being darker than Solsthiem nights.

No it would be the opposite, I was about to say maybe you were right, that

somehow the ash might magnify the sunlight coming in but I looked for a

few seconds and found that it would completely block out the sun.

I will post a pic of what my nightime looks like because maybe there is indeed a conflicting mod messing my lights.

The game had the same problem on the Xbox version. It is just how it was made.

For me Time seems to move increasingly fast then in Skyrim, plus im also starting to wonder if it ever gets Dark in Solstheim, but the Bloom/Eye Adaption makes Playthrough even worse with this Dark to Light movements

Huh, that's wierd I never noticed that. Well something strange happened yesterday. So I fast traveled to that one dragon wall outside and suddenly it was normal dark. I went back to raven rock and tried waiting but it still won't get dark like it did. Anyways here is a screenshot of what my nighttime looks like-

This was taken at 1AM in raven rock. It seems that 5AM is the darkest but barely. Is that what your guys' night time looks like too? Oh and here is a pic of nighttime at the wind stone

It seems that the northern part of Solsthiem does not have the light nights but is normal dark nights. And raven rock and maybe all of southern solthsiem is really light nights.

It's only the southern half of the island that is like that and it'd because of the ash cloud from Morrowind. Personally I feel like it should just be darker than it is even during the day, and preferably more gray than the gross Fallout-esque green-sepia over-saturated fog that just seems lazy. On the more northern areas of the island, the nights are clear, crisp, and display more of a frosty cold night than I feel Skyrim ever did.

I use Climates of Tamriel and I'm anxiously awaiting a Dragonborn update.
