G-Sync, ENB and bordeless windowed mode.

Hey all!

If anyone would please educate me a bit!?

Question 1... I understand that ENB in Skyrim SE works in bordeless windowed mode, and this mode is the most stable to use? Not recommended to change, right?

I've been having some problems with this on and off. Started out getting tearing when playing with G-Sync and display set to 144hz. But when I changed to 120 Hz or 60Hz, everything was fine. After installing the latest windows update though... Tearing no matter what I do. G-Sync is not functioning properly most like.

2. Sometimes my display is actually using 120 Hz ingame, even though Skyrim isnt supposed to support it, without modding it? Most of the time it changes auto to 60 Hz.

OFF TOPIC: Also, I keep getting an issue with my display turning on and off in a lot of games.Totally random and happens immediately on launch. And when this happens: Restarting windows always helps for some reason... why!? ;)

3. What could be causing these issues with G-Sync in borderless windowed? Just wait for another windows update? Anyone else affected?

The tearing is showing itself mainly on the bottom of the display and is pretty light tearing. But I hate that stuff.

Using GTX 970 with the latest driver installed, too see if that helped. No luck.
60 fps cap activated through ENB
Havent tried vSync yet.

Unless your PC is a potato, then use windowed mode.

Skyrim runs natively at 60hz, and yes, trying to run higher than that without mods causes problems as the physics in the game are tied to framerates.

Things I would try:

Try enabling VSynch and see if that helps.

It's possible the latest Windows update isn't playing well with your G-Sync drivers, I don't use it, so I can't say myself.

Are you sure your video drivers aren't corrupted? Try uninstalling them with DDU then do a fresh install.
