Question on Saving

When making a mod, if i save halfway through and then load up the Master files and just the mod i am working on in TES:CS, when i save again, will the file made be independent of the first save?

Or must i merge them after? :wacko:

I'm not sure I understand what you're doing. Do you mean that you create a new .esp file, then save, close and open it again?

 

If so there won't be two different copies, so they won't have to be merged.

well what i mean is if i make a new .esp file, save then close.

then i open and edit it some more, will the "new" .esp have all the changes or just the one added during the second session.

Unless the file you're changing has been made the active file, if you save a file with the same name, the previous file will be simply overwritten with only the changes made during the second session. If the file you're working on is the active file, however, any changes you make during the second session will simply be appended to it.
