Tumri
Lately I've been thinking that since I've seen most of what Skyrim's world has to offer I would spice up my next playthrough by adding somewhere between 5-10 houses or random farms as well as 2-3 town mods so that there is some new content to explore and appreciate. What level of impact do house and game world addition mods have in terms of performance and stability? Keep in mind the houses I'm looking at range from tiny cottages like Okiir's Hunting Cabin to massive mansions like Vjerkell Castle or Halls of Dovahndor. Some of them are even totally new world spaces like the Alchemist's Hidden Valley.
SalazarDrago
well house mods for me have had noo impact on stability and performance in the world of skyrim itself...however once you get inside depending on how much stuff the mod author puts in...you might experience framerate drops with some of the more detailed homes.. As far as stability goes always be careful if its one that contains a lot of scripts and features....however these are also the best ones...so you really have to look through the comments to see if people have any major problems...you should be doing this with any mods anyway as far as new lands...they proabably have quests attached so once again they are going to be pretty script heavy...so just use caution if you want an extensive home...try the this mod http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/16374 its an amazing mod that adds a new town that you can become citizen, knight, or even king of...and its pretty clean as far as the scripting goes so just beware of scripts and read what people say about them and you should be fine...i love player homes...i must have tried around 20 to 30 of them a few i recommend are Rayeks End<- my favoriteThe reserve<- also my favorite cant decide lolforbidden sanctuarythe tesseract (script heavy) and of course if your looking for new places....def check out the official dlc dragonborn its a blast AND remember to backup your save before installing script heavy mods sorry if you knew that already its just really important lol Edited February 11, 2013 by SalazarDrago
