Skyrim Freezing Issues

I'm sure there are other forum topics on this, but none of them seem to apply to the type of freezing I'm getting (as least the ones I saw).

 

So I appear to freeze or CTD at seemingly random times in the game, at first I though it was in exteriors only but I have encountered it in interiors as well. I enables logging and this is the result:

It appears that the script MainQST12Script is causing the issues (appears to be the freeze source on all the logs I have at the moment. As for what mod or dlc adds this I'm not certain (skyrim, dawnguard, hearthfire, dragonborn do not contain this script)

 

So that makes this a mod problem(at least as far as I can see)

hopefully I can get some light shed on this issue. Any and all help is appriciated (if you need more info just ask). As for me I'll continue to try and track down the script and what mod adds it in the creation kit.

it is simply the end of your log, it doesn't mean nothing, make a test, go in game and save, you'll see Vm is freezing, frozen then, game is saving nothing else

 

when your game freeze or ctd, you have a error msg? or just freeze on loot, looking at something ?

 

do you have un install a mod recently, if yes, was it scripted?, if yes, do you have stopped the script before uninstall?

for Convéniant Horse ( ex.for purpose, it's very popular) you must stop the quest by "stopCHquest" and then uninstall the mod, if not, you can have save bloating or crashes, because CH script still run in the game^^

good point but these are the last messages logged fight before the game crashes. Also I get no error message the game either locks completely up (music still plays) or just closes to desktop... as far as uninstalling mods recently not anything ultimately important (skyrim simple save system and bigger trees being one of the removed mods) but I've actually built up my mod list as this was a fresh install of the game and I think my character was started around the same time... I can always start a new game and see if the effect persists, if not I'll be more than happy to restart.

humm, looks familiar, i have many playtrought running, but one of my last was a Heavily moded one, many textures and a lot of scripted mods, i know i had 1/10 chance to make it work but for fun :P new skeleton (xp32) anims, Fnis, CH, frostfall, UFO, W & Cold, combat overhaul etc... 30 lvl and...395 "real" saves no F5 :P, i wasn't able to go from Whiterun to Solitude without ctd, spent a week to make the good load order, merge, patching and i was able to make one dungeon Hiilgrund tombs, then ctd again.

it was always like you, just stop, music in background, or back to W7, so i stop this mess and make a new vanilla profile, still have ton of texture, just the essential scripted one, and i enjoy my ranger for hours without any problem :)

hmm. either way I'm starting a new game and I'm optimizing my load order and trying to cut back on the bulk and making sure they're all up to date. I'll then rerun boss and the fnis generator then try again. Guess we'll see ^.^

just one last point, are all the mods up to date for the last DLC? i'm not sure all of them are patched, it's too early

Most looked that way. But I'll double check. Also that script from earlier wasn't in any of my active mods so I believe I had orphaned scripts. But we'll find out after I get everything in order and try a new game

Unfortunetly I still freeze, and the logs aren't pointing to any source now so I'm stuck

While the payprus log can sometimes yield useful insights about bugs and stability issues, it's not a 'crash log' and should not be read as such. The fact you have a number of plugins loading after your compatibility patches (e.g. the ReProccer) suggests that plugins not recognized by BOSS may be causing or at least contributing to the instability of your load order. Can you replace your load order with a BOSS log (with the messages)? Include the list of plugins not recognized by BOSS.

I did notice that birds.esp is incompatible with hearthfire. Whether or not this is the source I'll fix this (something that was buried in the BOSS log
