CMS47
....if I may? I've created heightmaps before but each program is different. Here's what I would like to know: When making a greyscale heightmap for Skyrim -- 1. What is the % grey for water?2. What is the % grey for basic grassy plains?3. What is the highest % allowed in the CK (and ingame) for the highest mountain peak? Each time I've searched for the answers to these basic questions, I've found "use this % and subtract this multiplied by this then inverted then raised/lowered..." etc... ::laughs:: Finally, if I wanted to create a custom worldspace that is the equivalent of approximately 250 miles by 300 miles, what size would my image need to be to accomdate this? And, in the CK, how many squares/cells would this equate to? I suppose I could just create a 64x64 test heightmap with graduated percentages and try that out in the CK, but if someone already has this information, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, in advance, for any help with this. -Goldrush******* Edited February 12, 2013 by CMS47
CMS47
I didn't see any rules against 'bumping' a thread but will only do this once (since there seems to be a lot of activity here) in the hopes of a reply. If no one has this information, I thank you for looking, anyway. Take care and happy modding. -Goldrush*******
