vTemporalZEROv
Looking to find the way to hex edit for example the range or damage of a weapon from a hex editor, out of curiosity. Replacing a whole weapon or swapping keywords is easy, but what about specifically stats of weapons or armor? Yes I know I could use the CK or xEdit, but I wanna learn in hex if it is possible since Im trying to learn hex.
YouDoNotKnowMyName
Oh, that's too easy! Well, if you want a challenge, you can open up the hard drive of your PC and magnetize or de-magnetize the parts on the harddrive platter that are storing the individual bits for those values.Extra points for doing this with an SSD. Seriously, just try to open the file you want to edit with any HEX editor.I can't recommend any, because I haven't had the need to do this myself. The difficult part is finding out where in the file those values are "hidden", not changing the values themself.(The values are probably 32 bit unsigned integer values or something like that) You would have to "reverse-engineer" the ESP / ESM file structure. Good luck with that!
