Weird and Random CTDs No Matter What I do

Well,I never "clean" files.It probably starts causing issues more than "dirty" files or saves.It can help some people sometimes,if it's some minor error in the plugin.Never clean the official files.

yes clean them, i always did and no problem, the most funny is people who complain against modders for 1/2 ITM and have there masters full of crap

CBBE or high resolution textures are not a issue if you have enough ram and a good GPU in Helgen, however, i used K enb and can't reach Helgen with the cart at all, but shift /F12 during this part solved the problem.

 

if you are making a clean install follow this; go in steam and back up the game, then del

c:/ steam/steamapps/common/skyrim»del

c:/user/doc/mygame/skyrim»del (important! if you have ini's tweaked and want to keep them make a copy somewhere)

clean your computer, registry etc.., then go back to steam, install from backup »»»Vanilla clean install ready to go ;)

Sometimes cleaning them is ok,I never clean masters,cause I never have issues.Most the time a mod shoudln't need cleaning,since it was proably tested and worked fine before published(I hope).It's ususally the other mods it's mixed with,or updates to game codes,etc that start breaking things,when you use mods if they aren't tested and updated.I test some mods that come out and almost never have issues.I see alot of ppl cleaning and using BOSS,and wrye,etc,and having more issues.Maybe I'm jsut lucky,lol.

Like I said about the high res,it was that one file,it was never compressed like the others with it(possibly oversight),so is what is causing black bodies for some ppl,and lower framerates,especially for ppl with under 2GB cards or not using SLI/Crossfire.

Is there anything I can do when re-installing mods? Right now I get to installing Racemenu, CBBE, Lunari Race, Better males, Apachii Hair, The Eyes of Beauty, and RCM and I also get issues at that point with the game just freezing up during a new game start. I'm trying the quick start mods and starting as female character to see if that works.

Maybe try without Dragonborn enabled,and see if it works.There seems to be some issues with it it seems.Also,do you use the Unofficial patches for the game?They may help some.

Also,try older videocard driver,maybe it's something in the newer one.I used to have issues with my 9600XT in Oblivion,and it was the newest ones past 7.1 at the time.

I have the unofficial patches. I'm going to try installing the mods just with NMM and bypass Wrye Bash and BOSS and see what happens. After sorting with BOSS and Wrye Bash a few times that's when the game would even work anymore AT ALL. Even with mods disabled and back to 100% vanilla. I am also going to reverse install these mods. Body and UI mods first, then armor mods and pose mods, then the texture and ENB mods last. With the biggest ones last that will really tell me what's going on.

Boss isn't reliable 100% of time, but you're not a newbie, if it give weird load order you'll see it straight so .., for Wrye bash it's a very usefull tool, but i admit that i have problems with it on one profile i've made and start to mess after reorganising LO and save etc.., my fault of course, but never again :P

 

install nothing, go to riverwood make a clean save in Alvor's house and go for ENB, Racemenu, body, texture, landscape big or not doesn't matter , then kill your first dragon and start to install scripted mod etc...

Mesh and texture replacers shouldn't cause the issue.Anything that messes with scripts or something like SKSE,injectors,and wrappers can cause issues.

Do you have other high end games(Assassins Creed 3,Fallout 3,etc) that are causing issues,or is it only Skyrim?

Maybe try a defrag of the machine,if using a multicore CPU,is it showing HW Thread Count is equal to number of cores in renderinfo.txt in the folder with skyrimprefs?

Do you got steam in online or offline mode?I leave it in offline mode,until I check for updates weekly.

If it's doing it with 100% vanilla no DLCs,then it could be another background app(live antivirus/spyware apps can cause corruption sometimes),driver, or hardware issue.

Hopefully it can be sorted soon for you.

What about the CTD when trying to use showracemenu if you have Apachii Hair? I crashes every single time when trying to customize my character.

it's a known issue, Apachii it's really huge and racemenu too + cbbe texture etc.., to make them work if you can't handle it, it's to go in the smallest cell you can find (i use a empty breezhome for this).

Now i'm not using it anymore, too big and is utility is really a matter of tast, i use the guy from thieves guild instead if i need to change something on my char.
